I started with him and I'm happy. That ToG% is a killer though. 65% in rd1, down to 61% in rd2.
That furthers his case. Will only get more TOG as tanks builds.

He's had 6 years to build his tank. Reckon this might be his ceiling. Good impact player. Makes the most of his TOG but can't sustain it. Still going to be a great cash cow though.

How long in an AFL environment does he need to build his tank up? As pincrusher said he is in his 6th year.

I don't see that vastly improving, if anything he will struggle to run out games even more as the season progresses. Not ideal for a club to have to rotate a midfielder that frequently, especially since he isn't really able to play off a flank.

I have exactly the same mid bench, with JHF, Daicos, Ward & Stephens on field. Owens the one that most likely goes, but for who?

Connor MacDonald probably the best cheap rook that I don't have who will be on the bubble. If I could get to Xerri I would perhaps do that, but don't have the cash.

Crisp and Steele just did enough to persist for now, and whilst I considered trading Gawn I just can't find anyone that I'm comfortable downgrading him for.
I swapped Gawn for Petracca, with a bit of chicanery.

I am giving serious consideration to Luke Jackson, want to see where he lands this week.

CM is -34, Xerri -77. Xerri could prove to be a keeper though, or at the very least a last upgrade required M6.

Consider Grundy over Gawn, would that give you the cash to nab Xerri? I was worried about Reg all pre-season, but he looks up and about, his body language is much brighter and his interest in contested football has returned.

Maybe Witts at 380K, worry is he needs another swap to a premo, or so consensus tells us. Look at the ruck charts though so far and the concept of an SP ruck has taken an early blow, will the status quo resume, or will Witts be comfortably lodged in the top 5, without a 20 point gap to the top 1 or 2?

We'll all keep an eye on Darcy's travails, I'm sure. If he does get himself right and begin to return ridiculous scores, that'll be the move to make and probably at a very decent discount.

The big quesrion is, regardless of Fyfe, how long does JL persist with a guy who needs that much bench time? It impacts their rotations. Freo have been run over twice now by shit teams.

If you need him on field yes he is a must.
But to sit at m10 probably not.
He is 21 years old. More chance of a decent average IMO.

Stephens is currently my M10 which is actually pretty handy when I think about it. Come R6, Daicos may swing to Def, JHF could go Fwd which means I'll still have Stephens at M8.

With Phil Davis doing his hammy, Leek Aleer might be a possible downgrade option soon. $144k def rookie.

Probably not great scoring potential though.
Would love to see the ex-Central Districts player get an opportunity in his first year with GWS

That's what I thought so I upgraded Saligo, Dusty and Stengle to Hewitt, Cripps and Heeney.

Hoping to get some good upgrades before they all go up 50k.

Should get some good consistency from those three and correct some early issues before I lose money and can't afford the upgrades.

Erly but I needed to correct some early errors.

Bowey, Hinge, McCartin (Gibcus, SDK)
Rowell, Berry, JHF, Daicos (Ward, Naish, Hough)
Dixon
Cogs, Xerri, Rachele, Martin (Durdin, Hayes)

In terms of my MP's and rookie selections, only really Hough who may not play however everyone else seemingly looks like they have a ton of cash to make.

Got all the top premos in the guts which was my biggest focus - Macrae, Touk, Neale, Clarry and both Grundy and Gawn.

Pretty keen for UG season.

I'm expecting NOD to get a full game this weekend. He'll probably be a great rookie, especially with Fyfe injuries, Cerra gone and Mundy being an old man.
Gibcus to NOD is on the cards next week for a cool $70k cash grab. Otherwise it's a Hough/Durdin to NOD "correction".

Replacing Brodie??
That would be ideal in a perfect world.

Because I don’t have him.

And I want him.

But if I get him.

I’ll ruin him for everyone.
