I’m sorry but $1.5mill for anywhere in that part of Cheltenham is ridiculous.St Kilda player sells Cheltenham home for $1.532 million as Melbourne auctions return
Five bidders fought it out for St Kilda defender Jimmy Webster’s home, with the agent warning that the property market is still strong, but ‘the crazy days are over’.www.theage.com.au
We see the old 3193 elitism coming out here folks.I’m sorry but $1.5mill for anywhere in that part of Cheltenham is ridiculous.
His house could almost be said to have views of an overfilled tip.
I bet the agent never mentioned that (or even knew that a tip was right next door). Upside for the buyer is that this house is actually not built on that overfilled tip. Unlike any house a street or two down.

Forget that there's eff all to do but laps of the Beauie shopping concourse or suck in the stench of rotting seaweed at Ricketts Point. Its the proximity to Royal Melb golf course that defines a real winner these days.

You buying the Bogut mansion???I have my eye on an awesome mid-century house in Beaumaris. Is it a boring shithole?
You buying the Bogut mansion???
Classic.
Actually, beware buying in Beaumaris, prime Buruli Virus locale.

That house in Dalgetty Road was featured in the ABC Restoration Australia series. There’s a Robin Boyd house round the corner from me: west, sunset facing corner block on Beach Road. Would be worth more than I dare to think. It is a classic example of his style though. I warn you that it will be difficult finding something down here. There’s not the turnover volume in Beaumaris, even less in Black Rock. People buy in and stay for the duration.I'm not convincing the wife so far. It was a Robin Boyd house. I think I've missed it but Beaumaris has a bit of a mid century house cult at the moment. I'm going to keep an out out while I work on her. I like being close to the city at the moment, I can get home from Marvel in 15 minutes so I'm a bit worried that I'll hate losing that.

Had a laugh back in the day
I would have joined you.Jade, mate.
That pub is long gone.
It‘s been renovated into luxury apartments.
I was standing in Bodley Street one morning trying to work out how much the lower floor apartment was the Schooner Room when the owner of that apartment came out and asked me what I was doing. I replied that I was recreating in my mind my underage pub drinking and did she know she was living in a bar? She did, we had a chat about the old times.
So many great times there, police checking ID while we moved around avoiding them, floating down Bodley Street in Volkswagen Beetle after a summer storm, pashing on in the back seat of your mates FC if you’ve scored, hot sweaty bodies dancing to great pub rock in The Tavern.
Great memories.
Posters on here often talk about their favourite pubs and times. Espy etc.
Back in the day the Beauie wasnt half bad.
Can anyone get past the HS paywall and post the story about Oscar Allen's car accident?
St Kilda are investigating the circumstances of a car accident involving draftee Oscar Adams.
Oscar Adams was only drafted three months ago but is already under investigation after the first-year ruckman-key defender pranged his vehicle on Saturday morning.
St Kilda is investigating the circumstances of a car accident involving draftee Oscar Adams.
The first-year ruckman-key defender pranged his vehicle on Saturday morning in western Victoria.
Adams, 18, was not hurt in the incident.
A club spokesperson on Sunday said the Saints were looking into the matter and would consider the next course of action.
“The St Kilda Football Club is aware of a motor vehicle incident that occurred on the morning of Saturday 5 February involving draftee Oscar Adams,” the club told News Corp.
“He is uninjured and with his family at home.
“The club is gathering further information regarding the matter before it determines the appropriate next steps.
“Oscar’s welfare is the primary concern of the club at this point in time.”
Adams, who is from Mount Gambier, was taken pick No. 51 in November’s national draft, and is only three months into his AFL career.
The 198cm big man is an exciting and versatile tall prospect who said he drove for more than four hours to travel from Mount Gambier to Adelaide to play games for Glenelg last year.
The Saints picked the raw big man, hopeful he can develop his body strength over the next few years and play multiple positions.
The Saints were in Ballarat last week for some training ahead of an important season, after missing finals last year.
The club will continue its probe into the car accident to learn more information about the circumstances on Monday.
It continues a disappointing week for the Saints after promising half back Nick Coffield suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Coffield ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament at training and will have a full knee reconstruction.
Meanwhile, the club is taking a cautious approach with veteran midfielder Daniel Hannebery.
Hannebery has been hobbled by soft tissue injuries in his time at the Saints but is optimistic about his prospects in 2022.
Football boss Simon Lethlean said the Saints were taking no risks with the former Swan and were submitting him for regular calf scans.
“Dan’s history suggests this time of year is of particular risk for him,” Lethlean said.
“As such, we are taking a very conservative approach with him, including regular scans of his calves.
“No muscular issues have been identified, however we will continue on a cautious training program as we progress towards matches.”
The way they've written this kind of insinuates it was a drink driving accident or something of that nature. I don't know why they'd investigate and consider next steps otherwise.St Kilda are investigating the circumstances of a car accident involving draftee Oscar Adams.
