AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
True Thy, but it sure as hell is a good way to kick off the season and start building belief from the get go.Never understood this "must win" term. I don't believe these absolutisms are helpful on any level.
I go most mornings around 10 and find it greatly beneficial...I don't believe these ablutions are helpful on any level.
I was going for a Daffy Duck vibe there ferrisb - I can count on you to pick that up
I allus has wan at 11...........I go most mornings around 10 and find it greatly beneficial...
damn I love daffy - suck a conniving prick of a thing..........
I spent too much time at pubs trying to stretch out a squash and packet of Samboy bbq chips, while Dad threw the weeks wages (and sometimes next weeks') at nags and dishies...that old geezer is hardwired into my frontal lobe..I allus has wan at 11.........
Any sightings of Josh Cripps and Tyreece Leiu?
from HS a couple of days ago.
Josh Cripps (East Fremantle)
The brother of Carlton co-captain Patrick will get an opportunity to also become a Blue this pre-season. While his brother is a tall beast of a midfielder, Josh is a 199cm ruck/forward.
His 2020 was scuppered when he ruptured his ACL, which wiped out his draft year.
He returned with 8kg added to his big frame and impressed for East Fremantle at colts level, kicking 16 goals in 12 games and averaging 15.6 disposals.
Josh, Patrick and Jamie Cripps.
Tyreece Leiu (Eastern Rangers)
Also training with Carlton, Leiu is a unique prospect. From Rowville, Leiu spent a large portion of 2021 impressing as a tall intercept defender.
But until last year Leiu, 194cm tall, was more of an inside midfielder who would also go forward.
It is this versatility that has the Blues impressed.
If Lieu is 194cm in that pic, Cripps Snr looks down on Manute Bol.
Williams unlike our other directors is full-time and paid in his role as footy director. If the intent was just for him to fulfill his governance responsibilities he wouldn't need to be. I suspect there is an agreement that he supports part time as a skills coach in addition to his board role. It allows him to be closer to the football program and gives the club an extra coach paid outside the soft cap.
Until he stands next to HarryCharlie looks huge. Hope he has a massive season
The ROI would pretty good you'd think. Was my thinking as well re: ability to get GW back on the park with the skills Dept but bolstered with the official directors role (certainly hands on now but had a say in things once appointed over the off-season).
Be interesting if there’ll be $ room for Sav to return back at the club one day.
Yes agree but I don’t think diesel is the corporate/office type and I’m sure the club seniors know this and can compensate accordingly. I’m sure the players love having him out there.
Boys are back ...
Doc
suspect he'll be doing coaching or footy admin courses in the background this season too.Doch stepping aside as captain.
Good move, needs to focus on himself, it'll be good for him.
what's his best? have we seen it or is he still getting there?
Also wondering what impact his shorter hair will have.
suspect he'll be doing coaching or footy admin courses in the background this season too.
+.3 km/h to top speed?
