I recall the Lyon days and the lengths Freo went to to keep finals training sessions hidden from the public view.
Entrances to the ground all screened off, security guards patrolling menacingly. Really comical and pathetic.
But it helped us win the flag didn’t it. It didn’t!! That’s right, I remember now. We couldn’t kick straight to save our lives on the day it mattered.
ALL clubs have closed sessions. ALL clubs.
Why would Fremantle be any different.

So its supporters can get to see the young talent playing? Normally we would get to see that in pre season matches but nope not this year

It maybe a closed session but you will likely hear a report from Mccardle on how everyone went
Do you want Adelaide to see exactly how we’re going to move the ball? Lol.

Seriously!!! Why would the club want a closed session be broadcast here to the world.
I mean, really, are you serious?

NFL teams hold closed practice all the time. Sometimes they don’t even let the media in. I want Freo to win a flag. If that means they practice some things behind closed doors and I don’t get to watch an inter club then so be it.

Sit back, have a brew, and take a chill pill. The season is a week away.

If Sean Darcy woke up this morning and next to him was Dean Sarcy who is exactly like him in every way, an exact clone.

Do we play two of him?
Trade

We are falling right into the 12pm- 2pm time slot for Trade Radio with this, but which three current players would you clone to play both in the side at once?

Freddy is probably one of them given his unique physical abilities.

We end up talking about how no matter how good elite players are their elite features aren't across the board and playing more of them compounds those weaknesses. The mental exercise that helps understand team balance.
Hmmm. I'm thinking of x2 Brayshaws as he's balanced and would help round out our mid.

X2 of Walters up forward and part mid. I think he's fighting fit and closer to his former form than last year.

Mmmmmmmm...as much as I've ripped him, x2 Taberners as since he's a marking beast, having two of him leading (to the corners) will at least almost guarantee a mark as ya can't double two Craberners ;)

I'm not sure I agree with the notion that only B22 players should be offered 3 year contracts. Clearly that is going to be the norm, but if we could lock in say Meek (or any other player who is essentially AFL quality but behind a B22 superstar), on money that we believe to be below market, that may be considered smart business. Over a three year horizon they're going to come into play at some point, and it may just be crucial.

Guess it depends on how squeezy we are, or will be, against the cap.
Iist managing in nba 2k makes me like this post. If you can spot a sure thing and can sign them long term for cheaper, I understand that

Clarkson watched Geelong before the GF, and saw them moving all the ball through the middle and zoned that area so well that it blocked all off Geelongs movement.
Get what advantage you can, even if you're not sure it's going to be a substantial advantage (in other words pretty much always).

Round 1 is also something a non-contending team like Adelaide would put a lot of homework into, more than other rounds, coz you got all that extra time.

It also would have been difficult to get direct intel on teams during covid. No need to beam it straight to their screens.

The problem is that they would probably lead to the same corner...

I reckon they’d both stand at the top of the goalsquare and go for the mark. In typical Tabs fashion they will both mark the ball, ump will call play on followed by one Tab tripping over the other one and shinning it through for a point.
