Think they announced a plan for exapnsion of the ARC to include specator seating a few months ago
All well and good but still have to look out over the barren waste-land on the other side of the oval
Until that area is developed , surely the club can get permission to at least put some grass on that slope

Side note: Freo oval is also due for its facility’s and oval upgrade soon.

I spoke to Cam Britt (Sowfs CEO) about it and he said nothing will happen until after the Federal Election as they are trying to get federal funding. Any redevelopment of Freo Oval is still some time away yet.

If Chapman does become a midfielder as some of you are projecting, and with Erasmus and Johnson incoming, we may need to take that Neale trade just so we can keep a more human average height.

Pretty sure it will overlook the other oval, not the main training oval.

Seems Fong is playing the long game though... and at some point Cockburn ARC will become West Perth FC's HQ.
This is my grand plan. AFL forces WA3 into the league, West Perth Falcons enter the AFL and the AFL buys our Cockburn training base off us for a compensatory amount allowing us to develop Fremantle Oval into a 40,000 seat arena/training base.

It's why we need those 80,000 members are 50,000 people showing up to games - when that kicks off all three WA clubs will feel the pain, but mostly Fremantle and the Falcons.

Facilities for watching training at Cockburn aren’t too flash unless they’ve improved dramatically since I was last there.
And the coffee is awful.
If you are expecting the coffee at a recreation centre to be drinkable then you've really got nobody else to blame but yourself.

There are plenty of good coffees to be found surrounding the ARC - but not in the ARC nor in Cockburn Gateway.

Of far more importance is the availability of a suitable vanilla slice nearby which despite this forum investing many hours searching over recent years has turned up not a single specimen worthy of comparison to that which are available from the Fremantle markets. FFC are keeping the lid on it but vanilla slice is the real reason they'll be training in Fremantle more often.

What's the vanilla slice (aka mille-feuille) like at Dolce & Salato? It's a little bit of a journey, but there's one not too far from there further up Beeliar Drive.

No better way to endear yourself to your teammates that you wanted to turn your back on that frolicking around Broome while the rest of the squad return early and gets to work.

I hate this Lobb bashing

AFL players are allowed their time off, he is doing work away from the group and has earnt his time off

1-4s are back at the club now, Lobb does not have to be back at the club, there are many players that are not yet back at the club

Players don't have to turn up early to every pre season, Lobb has been in the AFL for 10 years, he will come back in the right shape and join the group with the other senior heads

guess Lobb is officially the new whipping boy

It will only take twenty minutes of football for Rory Lobb to be everyone's favorite player. Round 1, quarter 1 - 10 contested marks and 5 goals.

yep all he needs to do is take 10 contested mark and kick 5 goals in 25 minutes of footy, simple really

...it was intended to be hyperbolic. The guy tried to walk out on the club, it's going to take something amazing for people to think of him as one of our team and not just a guy going through the motions until he tries to get traded again the end of next year.
