I think the biggest name we could get is Sydney's Jake Lloyd, excellent ball user and a former BNF winner.
Other than that we are unlikely to attract any big name player. Even GWS at their peak couldn't attract big name players so what chance are we?

The stand rule and resulting speed of the game now doesn't suit Lloyd. He has a high DE because he loves chipping it around the backline endlessly.I think the biggest name we could get is Sydney's Jake Lloyd, excellent ball user and a former BNF winner.

Don't think we would need to pay 600k for Thomas.Ranks gone;
Replacements for 2023
1. Buddy OOC 1-2 year deal 600k
2. Junior Rioli OOC 2-4 year deal 400-500k
3. Tarryn Thomas 2023 600k
4. Trade up and get Harry Sheezel
5. Dusty 2 year 1.2mil
No current season stats available
Harley was a star but did what he did to himself.Off topic a little bit but our history with drafting first round indigenous players isn't looking flash;
Harley Bennell
Steven May
Jack Martin
Jarrod Garlett
Callum Ah Chee
Izak Rankine

Riley Bonner most likely to head to Brisbane next year.If there was to be some disgruntled players around essendon I'd hope we are making a pitch for mason redman or Nick hind.
To replace rankine we need someone with some good foot skills in the front half of the ground. I guess there is still the slightest chance dusty wants to head our way, tarryn thomas name will keep coming up. Then there's breust or wingard, wouldn't mind breust not sure on the character of wingard.
Would be asking port what it would take to get riley bonner out of his contract, they may be interested before he is free agent next year.
Ben McKay is rumoured to be gettable as is Haynes from gws.
Would take rachele from crows for rankine.
If we cant extract a good player or two, we get Brisbane's first and turn 5,12? Or 5 and our first next year into 1 or 2 from north/ west coast. Draft wardlaw or sheezel and hollands.
Might find it a bit tough with Coleman, Answerth, Prior, Sharp, Madden, Michael, Wilmot, maybe even Ah Chee, all fighting for game time....Riley Bonner most likely to head to Brisbane next year.
He's an inside mid. Those players you mentioned, aren't.Might find it a bit tough with Coleman, Answerth, Prior, Sharp, Madden, Michael, Wilmot, maybe even Ah Chee, all fighting for game time....
