Sharp is contracted so unless we are getting a high 2nd rounder or a good player in return, hold him till next year and hope he improves and gets starting minutes, convincing him to stay.
Sharp is like Flanders, still enough potential to hold another year. Only trade if it's for overs. Some players take a bit longer to develop, worth hanging onto them a bit longer.

It's basically just negotiations at this point.
GC will ask for 2 firsts and a player, Adelaide will say we'll give you a future first.
It will settle at pick 5 for Rankine with some future pick swaps thrown in.
It's meeting somewhere in the middle to appease both sides
Hasn't Rankine indicated he won't go to the PSD? Adelaide have little leverage here.

Again listen to the SA media they reckon they will front load his contract so he goes to the PSD.

This deal with play out like every other trade deal in history
Yep - pick 5 and late swaps in Adelaide's favour so they can claim to have "won" and paid less than pick 5.

Of course it suits the Suns to move late picks to 2023 so.......

SEN also reporting.....

“The other one I think Fremantle is looking at is Jeremy Sharp from Gold Coast. He’s 21, played 24 games, he could be a Blake Acres replacement on the outside with a bit of pace.”

Bloody helll

I would of thought they would of signed Sharpe up months ago.

I can see this turning into a disaster not only for what we gave up for him..

But even having to play Atkins in 2023
Why? He is still contracted for next season and hasn't played well this season. Doesn't need a contract extension yet.

They can target whoever they like. Sharp is contracted so we don't have to trade him. Freo are going to need every bit of their trade capital to get Jackson anyway.

Seriously, stop stressing about every headline you see - 99% of them are just click bait nonsense.
