This may be the case but why would they not even offer a 19yo first round talent a deal? Just seems odd to me.
Good point, I thought that Cornes was highlighting GC’s disasters over other teams to imply GC’s position is entirely down to bad list management decisions instead of the structural inequalities that sometimes lead to terrible decisions being made (eg go home factor, paying overs to retain players in a football frontier etc)

It doesn’t mean we lose Sharp. It can be a back-up I guess.
We don’t have many quality wingers on our list. Ellis, Sharp, then Atkins and a developing Faulkhead at the moment. Maybe Powell can move to a wing. Hollands and Luko have been playing there too, but I don’t think it’s their preferred role.
Depth players for the right price who are either experienced (Constable) or young with possible upside can be good acquisitions.
We don’t have to get him. But if it works for a good price I’m fine with it. Maybe packaged up with Fiorini for a 300k downgrade could be an option.

Would probably depend on who we intend drafting this year. Wouldn't seem much point getting Poulter if we plan on getting Olly Hollands.
If we are after a different type then he is an option.

If he is half as promising as Ned Moyle from Collingwood's vfl we'll be laughing! Can't imagine we'd trade in Poulter and draft Hollands, but our wings will be a big concern in a couple of years once Ellis goes so maybe some forward thinking.

I feel GWS are being proactive in trying to secure Cadman, Pick 2 could go to anyone right now. What if North get 1&2 they would have to get Cadman & Best available mid, Melbourne are trying to get a higher pick for Cadman too.
