What a joke, the top three players in this draft (outside Ashcroft) are untouchable.
I would love to see the AFL bump the draft age up to 20 and then make them sign a three year deal to enter the draft.

Markov was pretty bad this year, not a big loss imo.

Yeah fair. I never really felt like he gelled that well with the group either. Seems more interested in taking cute instagrams with his girlfriend (no judgement).
I'm only guessing here but could it be that Markov can't commit 100% right now. His family are originally from Belarus which is involved in the Ukraine/Russia problem, and his form in 2022 dropped right off after this situation began in Feb. If your heart and head are somewhere else....

Yeah other than speed I didn't see much there. Seemed to make a lot of wrong decisions.
Probably gives a hint about who we will draft given that even with Budda and Weller out long term he's been delisted.

Oleg had every chance to make a HBF spot his own this year and was shithouse in his games. His kicking is atrocious and he was just all over the shop. Not a loss.

Isn't that young fella from Darwin a HBF? He can be back up to Ellis maybe until Weller is back mid-year? Especially if we use pick 5 on someone who can play on the wing (cough Ollie Hollands cough)

Ellis can slide back if needed as well, but ideally he is locked on a wing.
Not awful, but 1 injury to any of the first 4 and we’re in trouble depth wise. Although bring in Ginbey to fill in and we are probably looking alright. Excited hopefully for Lloyd Johnston, but he’s a couple of years away from impacting.
VFL backline will be very tall again.

Geelong traded all their 2023 picks to brisbane apart from F1 for that pick 25 and F3 to you guys in the bowes trade

All roads seem to be leading to ginbey and I'm pretty happy with that. He gives me a bit of luke hodge vibes. Could see him starting at half back and being another option in the midfield as the season progresses. Pretty well developed already and with a pre season could be ready round 1.
It depends on what's happening with Tsitas and Constable and if our list concessions stayed the same as last year. No official Suns info. There were foxsports reports that both Constable and Ttitas were on 1 year contract, but recently Constable was reported under contract.
Moyle is another interesting case. Was he promoted to senior list or will he be promoted to satisfy 3 spots senior list upgrade?
Let's say Constable and Tsitas end up on rookie list and Moyle will be promoted to senior list.
Senior list - max 38. Currently 35. Pick 5, 45 and Moyle promoted ->38?
Rookie A - max 9. Tsitas, Constable, Uwland, Brock, Faulkhead, Casboult. 3 spots available ->academy Johnston? Blakey? Jed Anderson? Poulter? one more academy kid?
Rookie B - max 2. Ace. 1 spot available.
