I assume the 2 of them would play together along with Hipwood in this scenario. Fagan would froth over being able to play 3 genuine talls + McInerney again with none of those 3 being Darcy Fort.

Anyway, I hope it’s all just false chatter. I would love to see Chol finally knuckle down and actually fight to show he deserves a spot alongside King and Luko instead of just taking the easy way out.

Sounds like Clarko is angry that we're getting access to Walter and he hasn't been able to get NGA access to Sanders (yet) so they're going to make us pay for it by bidding on Walter at pick 2 and Read at pick 3. They know we're going to match any bid for Read so unfortunately this was always a possibility. Read isn't the third best player in this draft class but he has the potential to develop into a player worthy of that billing so maybe it'll be a motivator for Ethan. Don't mind the idea of two PBC juniors going picks 2 & 3 as long as we have enough points to keep all four academy stars.

His bitterness over us not hiring him last year / not getting his way with the NGA access & the McKay compo is becoming more and more obvious. I reckon that's partially why they tried so hard to beat us in round 24. Had absolutely nothing to gain from beating us in that game but went out and coached them like it was a GF. Now they miss out on Harley Reid and are lashing out.

I wouldn't even entertain the idea of not matching bids for Walter, Read or Rogers. These guys are literally the future of our club and Harley Reid / his management has already made several suggestions that he would request a trade home to Victoria at the first opportunity. Just enjoy the fact that Reid will be tied to West Coast for at least three years with the new CBA they are about to implement and we'll enjoy our three top 10 locals dominating the league in the red and gold for the next decade.

What do they gain from it though? We'll know if it was a bluff by the time pick 3 rolls around and we're trading pick 4 anyway so it won't really change our plans at all.

I just can’t wait for the day we are churning out so much talent that we can’t take them all and they start requesting to come home. Starting to look like that could be sooner rather than later as well.
