At the moment, we got 4335 points (including pick 4) which should cover academy kids. If worst scenario we can go into deficit or use future picks.

Pick 4 is 2034 points. Let's guess Chol 30 Hollands 25, Burgess 52, Sharp 52 - total 1877. We are there replacing pick 4. Small deficit 300-500 points does not matter or use future picks.

There's also a discount on that as well, I think 20%.

I don't think the problem would be draft capital for Oliver. It would be what played does Melbourne want as well?

I can guarantee you that if we ask Melbourne, they will ask for Ben King.

That's going to be the issue for every club though.
If Adelaide want Oliver, they will likely have to give up Thilthorpe.

You are right to some degree…
Hollands will be gone…
As for Davies.. I can’t see him being best 22 unless injuries hit tbh.
If someone wants him… give us a late second to third Rd pick

Agree. If Clayton Oliver says he wants to come, you go all in to get him.

However, he doesn’t make us any faster. He doesn’t improve our skill level (makes us worse if anything). He doesn’t move the needle in any area we need to improve. He just adds to what is already our biggest strength. And I know people say it would free up Rowell to play more outside, but Matt is a top 5 contested mid. You want him in and under where possible, and you really don’t need 2 near identical bulls in the one midfield in 2023.

Our midfield is finally just about set. Rowell and Flanders inside, Touk and Noah inside/outside, and Bear is only going to make us better in there as well. IMO we only really need to add someone with a bit of toe to go in for a couple of bounces per game to change things up (I.e Shai Bolton). Rosas was starting to do it this year. Maybe Weller if his knee is right? Ainsworth? Who knows what Dimma has planned

Yeah it was.....didn't know we'd written off Hollands, thought he was also contracted to 2024,bit hard to keep up with everything over here....still reckon we could be going too early on both though...

In last game against North, when Davies spent 39% centre bounces, he had AF rating 92, 22 disposals, 6 tackles, 3 clearances, 1 goal. Pretty good to me.

Hollands is soft, often lazy.

Good point. Davies looks to me like Swallow replacement. We do need more people run through the middle. Davies really
is the only one big and strong midfielder, he's hard at contest. He can move forward and score. Just need to play more, get more involved, I guess.

Played only 25 games, 21 years old. How was Flanders going at that stage? Way too early to make conclusions on Davies.

Common, every time I watched McLaughlin in VFL, I was thinking he is just that - VFL player. No real AFL attributes, he does not have speed, does not have great tank, 3rd tall at best. A bit like Corbett (who is probably better). Just my opinion. Let's see if any team shows interest and give him chance and how he goes.

Agree on this, big fan of Davies reckon he could be an A grader. Really need him to come on this year to help crashing and bashing with Rowell.

The last two flag's have been won by teams rolling a lot of players through the midfield too. Dew relied far too much on the 3 main guys, expect to see more through there next year.

Wowee. What a kick in the nuts! Win a Frosty, followed by a VFL premiership, only to be delisted two weeks later.

We must be looking at young KPF talent in the draft or SSP, outside of Walter and Read. Doesn’t make sense to cull all these tall forwards otherwise…
