need ready made mids best
18 traded in really.

if were bringing in 18yr old mids
Fiorini needs to be traded amongst a few others
Callaghan is a point of difference for our midfield. We don't have a tall outside winger with great skills and work rate. He is the best prospect in the draft after the first 3 for a reason. Ready made 18 year olds are always inside mids and we have to many of them. We need pace and skills in the midfield, something Callaghan has in spades

so Ellis Anderson Weller and sharpe get pushed out?

tbh I’m not sure what the Suns need other then a giant to help out collins
And a tall to hit the scoreboard

Isn't Sharp that outside winger with skills and workrate?

Callaghan is outside for now but had far more chance of turning in a McCluggage type then anything we have on our list. You can never go wrong with more speed and skills. Nothing further down the list has that combination. Ellis is getting older, Anderson will play almost pure inside next season one would think and Weller should go back to half back imo. He played well there. It never hurts to have options

Tall's are needed. If they can't be traded in they must be drafted. Just take the best talls available at each pick. Gibcus, Amiss, Van Rooyen are names that keep appearing.

Don't think another mid is needed, especially with Hollands needing a spot.

Would try trading for Battle, sounds like he is available. Need a ruck until Witts is back, there are a few that might be gettable - Lynch, Strachan, Meek. Is it Hayes from Port? Surely one will move for opportunity?

Assuming we can’t trade in a CHF or CHB, I would love to see Lukosius do a full preseason as CHF and stay there for 2022. Then we can use our first pick and get a CHB in Gibcus.
Would love to see our starting best 22 looking like this in round 1:

Powell Collins Lemmens
Markov Ballard Weller
Ellis Greenwood Sharpe
Witts Miller Anderson
Ainsworth Lukosius Holman
Rankine King Flanders
Rowell Swallow Bowes Burgess

Could rotate anything of the following in: Buderick, Day, Corbett, Fiorini, Davies, Sexton, Gibcus and I’m sure I’m forgetting someone

also wouldn’t mind if Day was told to go back to the back line, just doesn’t get involved enough a CHF

If no one wants our pick 3 after months of flogging it off, no point moving back in a shit draft. Rather get a future of a low team next year

Or the best available and that would be Finn Callaghan, looks very good since Gibcus will be gone. I do like Neil Erasmus but he’s a later pick

God no, please don’t trade it for a future pick, we have been nothing short of awful when trying to outsmart ourselves

take best available player if no one wants it

I'd be okay with trading pick 3 to someone like, Fremantle for 8 and a future first, or St Kilda for 9 and a future first.

How about 9 and Josh Battle from Saints? We'd also probably want a low pick back, say 55, would value Battle at around pick 25.

you guys are actively looking to shop Battle on which means clearly you don't rate him that highly, so personally no, theres no chance in hell I do that. If you value Battle at 25 I'd rather just give you 22 but personally I don't think he's the type we're looking for right now, we need genuine KPD's, not 3rd talls or interceptors.

EDIT: also personally I don't even think he would be worth 22. If Saints were actively shopping him to us I'd probably offer 43.

I would take best available at Pick three. We are not always going to have great picks in the Draft when we start to click as a club. The only way we give up pick 3 is for a deal strongly in our favour otherwise F off.

Herald Sun reporting we will pass on going after Luke Parker. To expensive

"Parker would provide brilliant leadership at the Suns but would likely force one of Noah Anderson or Matt Rowell out of a midfield that also has Touk Miller and the improving Brayden Fiorini."
"The salary will be too rich for the Suns, who are keener to secure key position talent in the off-season period to help Ben King."

Parker would of been nice two years ago, ah well

confirmed that zaharakis hasn't been offered a contract for next year. 31 years old, wonder what his salary expectations would be. i assume someone like dunstan would probably be a better fit.
Jacob Townsend type contract for sure. Not many clubs would be interested
