Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

If Curtin slides that much I hope we offer our future first to get back in.
I’d trade next year’s first for Curtin or O’Sullivan. Bear in mind though I’m going off what I’ve read, not what I’ve seen!

I think eagles will improve in 2024, injury hit the last 3 years. Personally I feel they’re more likely to finish around 10th.
I reckon they are in an absolute state. Very few quality senior players, very few quality developing players. I’d have more confidence in the beggars bouncing up given they have at least stockpiled developing players and been gifted a few more. The best eagles can hope is that modest improvement nets them a few more home ground wins

Spoke to someone from North last night. They won’t be bidding on Walter.
We’ll take Wiz. Says his testing for deceleration is off the charts, never before seen. Can go from top speed to slowing down to sidestep an opponent in an instant.

Doesn’t expect anyone to be doing any trades in the first 6 picks. Curtin will slide, it’s just how far before the eagles get back in.

He was very complimentary of McCabe too. Said he was at the game where Will had 30, and was running rings around those who should’ve been much more quick and agile.

Lol remember Clarko all huff and puff saying he was going to bid on all of GCs player.

All talk now.

After what the Dear family has been through I would hope that as a gesture of respect other clubs allow Calsher to be picked by the Hawks with our final selection.
In the cut throat world of AFL football I hope there is still room for some sentiment and decency.

I bet you paid for the drinks

Poor McKercher said he can’t wait to play in front of 80 000 at the G.

Only way that happens at North or when he moves back to Tassie is a GF and both are highly unlikely.
That's what Phillipou said last year

"I want to go to a big Vic side and play in front of huge crowds!"

nek minnit... goes to Saints

Tew Jiath plays HBF like CJ but that’s where the similarities end. Sorry but sounds like you haven’t watched him play. He’s a medium interceptor and good user, not run and carry like CJ. They would be a good complement to each other but we don’t need him so as you say if he fell through to become Cat B then all good otherwise wish him luck we have more pressing priorities.

His disposal looks a little more polished than CJ’s?

Poor North, he hasn't even been drafted by them and is already talking about how he can't wait to get traded to a real club.

At least he got an MCG final in front of 65 000.

North are a long way from that.
