Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

Dunno why people are wanting to bring tew Jiath in, from what I’ve seen he’s a slightly poorer version of cj, who a lot on this board don’t rate. I don’t want to get railroaded into taking every nga and father son for the sake of it. If he falls into our lap, then yeah sure, but seems like the exact player we don’t need to be trading back into the draft for
The only way I see TJ getting on our list is if no one bids on him in the Nat draft. Then we can add him as a Cat B. Otherwise he will be taking up a list spot from someone who looks better.

We are better off bringing in a higher ranked player and hoping for the best with TJ.

Tew Jiath plays HBF like CJ but that’s where the similarities end. Sorry but sounds like you haven’t watched him play. He’s a medium interceptor and good user, not run and carry like CJ. They would be a good complement to each other but we don’t need him so as you say if he fell through to become Cat B then all good otherwise wish him luck we have more pressing priorities.

Spoke to someone from North last night. They won’t be bidding on Walter.
We’ll take Wiz. Says his testing for deceleration is off the charts, never before seen. Can go from top speed to slowing down to sidestep an opponent in an instant.

Doesn’t expect anyone to be doing any trades in the first 6 picks. Curtin will slide, it’s just how far before the eagles get back in.

He was very complimentary of McCabe too. Said he was at the game where Will had 30, and was running rings around those who should’ve been much more quick and agile.
Thanks for that feedback SYL 👍 sounds like if the Wiz did the agility test he would have killed it. Yeah re McCabe watching the vids in general play he moves like a HBF ……. you would never guess he’s 197cm!

He's terrible. Disregard the quoted post opposition club recruiters! ;)

How can something be unbelievable and totally believable at the same time. North are an absolute stain on the competition the faster they are removed the better. No-one even cared in the 90s when they were really good. The solution to a 19 team comp seems quite obvious really.

Those who are hanging on Twomey's phantom draft should read what he actually wrote. Sure, he nominated Watson but then stated: "it looks most likely to come down to a 50-50 decision between Watson and key defender Curtin, with a very tight call looming. Could go either way".
So what he's saying is that he has NFI with Hawthorn. Are they playing tricks by having Watson at the club 6 times for interviews? Bring out the popcorn tomorrow night. I can't help but feel that we're not going to be vanilla for some reason.

people read what they want to read. Why I see more value in Curtain, as I think he has more versatility. I won’t be disappointed in getting Watson. The club so far has shown that it has a plan in going forward, and have far more knowledge than me!
