Down here at Waverly right now and a huge buzz around the place. Hawks fans are starting to roll in, even a few "Wizard signs and banners. A really good atmosphere and a very special day where we get our next favourite son.

Feels locked in top 5 to me. Reid, McKercher, Duursma, Watson, Sanders. So what do Dees do at 6 when eagles come knocking is fascinating. No-one they draft at that pick is really helping them win a flag in 2024 except maybe Curtin. I think they will stick and take him. GWS trade with Crows for OSullivan, Cats take Caddy and thats the top 10 including bids for Walter and Read. Dons take Leake, GWS take Windsor and Dees take Wilson. Swans will bid on Croft then take Will Green. Saints bid on rogers then take De Mattia. Crows bid on McCabe at take Charlie Edwards, North take Hardeman. Thats my prediction for the top 20 with only 1 live trade, lets see how we go!
My preference is still to trade for 6,11,f1 for 4,F2,61 and take curtin/osullivan/caddy to add to McCabe and Dear.
Looking forward to watching the replay tomorrow night after work with a few beers! Good luck everyone and especially those so emotionally invested in the Wizard, I hope North allow us to trade down as above and take him at 6 by taking Duursma and Curtin.

Last time I was sure of something Hawthorn related, Duke ended up missing out on the best and fairest to Will Day.

Not counting any chickens re: Watson.

Just quietly hoping we read his name out.

This is my mindset too especially after missing out on a couple of free agents the last couple of season. Never count your chickens and all that. IMO it's either going to be the Wizard or if North don't take him Duursma.
