Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

The Office GIF

What a scene, absolutely made legendary by Martin Freeman and Mackenzie Crook joining in.

Wouldn't matter. Duursma is the one we've been after since the start, if he's there at our pick we're taking him.
Huh? You really didn't understand what I wrote, did you?

I was saying that if North take Curtain, and then Duursma, then it would leave CMAC3 available to choose from.

Yep. Why bother? Unless west coast have the inclination to trade into the top 6 with one of hawks, dogs or dees, they aren't getting curtin regardless. So why would it matter if north take him? Probably a lot better if north take him than the other clubs.
Eagles feel like we will pick Curtin at 4 or at 6 if we do trade with Dees. So they may be considering 4+F1 and North want to signal that won't work.

North want to force Eagles to accept 2+(1 or 2 of their teens pick) deal.

For that scenario to happen then someone like Sanders would have to have been chosen in the top 3*

*not including Walter bid
North could take sanders he really wants to go there and that wouldn’t be something they’ve heard much of. Imagine if north take McKercher and sanders.

Herald Sun click bait:

Clarko’s eleventh-hour play to bring Curtin to Arden St

‘Play’ WTF? North pick Curtin, it’s not Curtin’s choice.

If there is a ‘play’ its showing WC Curtin won’t slip to them if they take Reid at 1 and trade back in after us.

I'd like to see AFL really open up the Trade/Draft Period.

Trading Picks 3-4yrs in advance. Pick Purchasing. But also getting List Managers on the pi55 & allowing them to gamble Picks in games of chance, or challenge each other in tests of strength etc.

I hope for sleepy’s sake there’s a no blinking competition!

Clarko visiting Curtin and it finding it's way into the press is North's last ditch attempt to make Eagles blink and trade Pick 1. North know Curtin is number 2 on the Eagles board.

Watson seems a great prospect in that he seems ready to play from round one with impact. But, using pick four on him is my only concern. He will come up against bigger, more experienced defenders than he's used to , this is why I would've love to get another pick in the top ten. A Caddy or even better, Curtin would be an awesome draft for us. Good thing is, we're primed to take a top 12-14 talent for packet of chips in McCabe. Would not surprise me if Will plays a fair amount of games across chb to get some experience in to him.
Clarko would not let a player like Curtin slip through, just can't see it. Colby seems the odd man out although Clarko loves his outside mids, particularly left footed with speed and a goal kicking threat. It's either Colby or Zane for them it seems. Really interesting draft ahead.
