Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

Watson seems a great prospect in that he seems ready to play from round one with impact. But, using pick four on him is my only concern. He will come up against bigger, more experienced defenders than he's used to , this is why I would've love to get another pick in the top ten. A Caddy or even better, Curtin would be an awesome draft for us. Good thing is, we're primed to take a top 12-14 talent for packet of chips in McCabe. Would not surprise me if Will plays a fair amount of games across chb to get some experience in to him.
Clarko would not let a player like Curtin slip through, just can't see it. Colby seems the odd man out although Clarko loves his outside mids, particularly left footed with speed and a goal kicking threat. It's either Colby or Zane for them it seems. Really interesting draft ahead.
Doesn’t bother me at all. He has smarts, skill, evasiveness and most importantly goal sense.

Rioli, Rankine, Milne, Betts, Pickett etc. he is exactly what we need in the forward line. Can’t wait for him to officially become a hawk.

If he can make it physically….just draft cream. We can rejigger the rest around it. When we got Cyril, we needed a kpd. No matter

Completely agree, and a great point. All of the players you've listed, I'd be happy with a top 5 pick being spent on them.

Watson arguably enters the competition as the highest ever rated junior small forward (besides maybe Rankine).

Curtin will not slide to pick 8-10.
He’s the best performed player at senior level of all the draft prospects.

Most ridiculous suggestion I have seen.

If he somehow does slide, it will be a weddle-type steal. No-brainer to trade our F1 to get him.
James Aish was once the best performed player against 'men'. Doesn't matter. It's all about how much development is left.

Eagles feel like we will pick Curtin at 4 or at 6 if we do trade with Dees. So they may be considering 4+F1 and North want to signal that won't work.

North want to force Eagles to accept 2+(1 or 2 of their teens pick) deal.
Yes, but what do north care if they really want duursma and colby? All i see playing out is wc take reid. If wc really want curtin they can offer up their future first to every club until curtin is taken or someone agrees.

I'd like to see AFL really open up the Trade/Draft Period.

Trading Picks 3-4yrs in advance. Pick Purchasing. But also getting List Managers on the pi55 & allowing them to gamble Picks in games of chance, or challenge each other in tests of strength etc.
They can do some gambling under the current rules. Just need 2 teams that each think they'll finish higher than the other the next season and do a swap of firsts outright. Or even swap the full suite 😂

Needs more intrigue.

Club 1: "I bet you a Future 2nd you can't do 3x Tequilla Shots, 10x Burpees then Benchpress 100kg..."

Club 2: "Hahahaha, hold my beer..."

I like ure conviction but what are u basing this opinion on Curtin. I hope its not just on the highlight reels that everyone else has seen.

Coverage starts from 7.
They know how to ******* drag it on mind you, so we'll be lucky to get a pick before 8pm.
With all the crap before, boring interviews wtih players families, the AFL ensuring every pick (and decision to match) takes the full five minutes to build suspense and 25 odd picks in round 1, round 1 might struggle to finish before the R2 coverage is supposed to start on Tuesday.

I love Clarko going all the way to Perth to prove how serious he is about taking Curtin, so that WC will agree to a trade.

Love a bit of smoke and shadows behind the windows. Unfortunately for him, I don't think WC are as dumb as Trav.
