Short sighted obviously, but surely if you're a Melbourne fan you'd prefer Jackson over pick 5 this year? He absolutely would've been the difference for them in both games, and could very well have taken them to another flag.
They did have Grundy.. Did not use him.
Gawn is a problem now. He wants to be the main guy. He’s a vacuum. Now there’s no depth for them next season

Such a weird game. I had zero doubt Carton would win. Even when Melbourne were up in the last.

Pickett, Fritsch, Gawn all horrible & Oliver is a shadow of his best.

It reminded me of times we’d have all the play for long stretches of matches & kick point after point. It sucks the belief out of the team.

Commentary sucking off Cripps all night was the lowlight. He was ok but didn’t have anywhere near the influence of Walsh or Petracca yet they were talking as if he was dominating.

Hopefully Brisbane can put them back in their box next week.

Can’t blame you guys for hating us, the feeling is not mutual. Freo, 2nd best jumper in the league(from worst).

Thanks for the players all of them have been gems. It’s no consolation I know but from this old Blue thanks you from the bottom of his heart. You are my 2nd favourite team. Good luck next year.

Just like Essendon’s last powerful team and Collingwood early 2010s era. We may look back at this Demons team and think how the heck did they only win one. I put Eagles 05/06/07 in that too, as that midfield was ridiculously strong.

Really would like an inquiry into Carlton’s salary cap. Seems fishy.

Any competent poster has alluded to the fact that the years we would challenge so would Carlton. They are going to be the team that gets in our way and will only get better next year and beyond.

Stupid Melbourne.
The last two minutes is unforgivable from Melbourne.

Viney doesn't handball it to Petracca

Viney's kick is the worst possible result, had to go 40m forward with air on the ball

McVee over commits and doesn't hold his man up

The last man in defense, in a 2v1 was Fritsch

If you thought Carlton screwed themselves out of finals against Collingwood last year with dumb football, Melbourne just one upped them

Looking forward to the Port vs Giants game. Hopefully Jesse Hogan can kick a clutch goal to steal the win. Bahaha.

Unfortunately you can see the same thing play out in the way we play and are coached.
Pies didn’t fluke all those close wins.

Grim reading over on the Melbourne board. They legit want to sack Goodwin.
It's too soon for this to actually happen, but the discussion is justified. He's on borrowed time and in 12 months time this will be a very, very hot discussion.

2 straight sets exit. From premiers, to 2nd, to 4th. They haven't addressed their weaknesses and they're declining. Not many of their players have actually improved or even kept their same level of output since their premiership

As others have probably said, Jackson was the difference, that 3rd quarter was the catalyst.
Bulldogs were lucky to even make the GF. You have to generally be top 4 to pull it off.

They could’ve used Jacko tbh.

But you keep missing goals like that you deserve to lose
People can be upset at what we paid for him but those draft picks are doing nothing for Melbourne anytime soon. Losing Jackson has legit cost them a grand final spot

I think Melbournes forwardline is so incredibly bad (for a contending team) that one flag is about right tbh. Also, Carlton are a few years ahead of us with their core starting from 2015 and ours starting really from 2019 (our best best players are that draft because we keep losing them).

they lost a Unicorn

Kosi Pickett is turning into a bit of a thug huh. He seems to have anger issues.
Turning into?

It has always been a part of his game, it was celebrated when he was drafted, go back and watch the commentary on draft night

fwiw I don't think he is trying to take players out or anything but those bumps have always been in his game
