This is good stuff, really interesting. I think it says a few things:I don't watch enough games each week to comment on AA selection.
But I am a stats nerd, so here is an interesting stat on the top 10 goalkickers; looking at what % of their teams' total scores they have kicked.

Charlie dining out against WCE is a valid argument. But playing for Adelaide, Geelong and Brisbane is also a pretty decent boost. On the flip side, kicking goals for North and WCE is bloody hard yakka.
(You won't believe me, but...) Disclaimer: I prepared this chart expecting Allen and Larkey to be #1 and #2. It was not intended as a Curnow pump.
Note: Curnow and Naughton badly need to improve their kicking. Daniher not far behind. And all three have struggled their entire careers. Larkey, Allen and C Cameron all have amazing conversion this year.
1. Even though he has dined out against West Coast, Charlie Curnow is a beast. Imagine if he'd been as efficient as most of his competitors except Naughton.
2. Carlton have really lacked alternative avenues to goal, especially with McKay's goalkicking/performance issues, until recent weeks coinciding with their uptick in form.
3. Toby Greene is still the most impressive to me. That he leads the line and plays like a KPP as a small forward on a rebuilding team (albeit they are in the 8 and have won 6 in a row). He is an absolute marvel.
It would be interesting to see how Curnow/McKay compare in this metric against some of the other dynamic duos: Hawkins/Cameron (34%), Daniher/Cameron (31%), Naughton/Ugle Hagan (%?) etc.
