Cripps has been very good. Guessing top 5-10 in comp in clearances and contested. He had a patch that made him best in comp for a decent stretch.
Will poll in 10 games come Brownlow night and receive 18-22 votes total.
Doing well with umpires, doing well with coaches votes, doing well with AA Selectors, not doing well on here. Not sure which one wouldn’t concern him…
Won’t make final team as he’s been injured on and off. If his body was better this year he’d be Captain.

Cripps in is silly

Cerra has had way better year. Not saying Cerra deserves to be in either tbh (def not team, but maybe squad)

Newman deserves to be in squad though.

If you look at impact, Cripps contributes to winning a lot more than his stats. Our much vaunted midfield was at full strength besides Cripps yesterday and got slaughtered by Green.

He played more midfield but was still higher for goals, assists and total goal + score involvements.

Bolton got shanked.

JDG a very lucky selection. He missed 5 games and was really poor in 6 others. Having said that he won’t make the final-22 so doesn’t really matter.

Crippa a bit surprising but he's still the best contested mid in the comp. Wouldn't be the worst inclusion.

Yep really struggled at times with his back I think and would probably have missed more games if we were healthier.

Fair dinkum - he pops it up in the air and Cameron and Hawkins mark it and goal because they are two of the best marking forwards in the game with a thousand goals between them that's a reflection on the marking forwards not the middleman.

From someone more than comfortable with Miers not making the AA squad:

This is not what happens and the statement that it does, is the statement of someone who has not watched Gryan Miers play much if at all this season.
