So out Moore, in Weitering. Moore was shocking tonight but has had a reasonable season.
Weitering would need to play a few more big games. I hate Moore and have long critiqued his pathetic attempts of defending his own man but he has been far better this year in that regard. Still looks like an A grade w***er but he's deserving of a spot in the side imo

Does anyone have access to the reverse coleman statistics?

At a guess I'd think Moore would have had less direct goals kicked on him compared to his peers who have been mentioned here, Aliir, Andrews, Wilkie, Ballard.

Weitering is interesting though I wouldn't think he would get much kicked on him, wouldn't be surprised in seeing him with the least goals in the reverse coleman, unsure if the rest of his game stacks up this year but as a lock down he's a beauty.

It is interesting how many goals Moore has had kicked on him this year
I think it's the way Collingwood plays down back. They hang off their man and play an intercept zone type defence. Plus the way we play aggressively through the middle if we turn it over the backs are screwed because it comes in quick. We saw this in the Lions and Demons games.

De Goey back in.
I love watching De Goey at full flight but he didn't stand out to me last night (understandable first game back).

We're at round 17 and he's had 9 games with 20 or more disposals (due to games missed or the few quiet ones).

He'd need an outstanding run home to slot in. Given how many games Port and Collingwood will win though, it's not without possibility that they try and squeeze 5 players from each side in.

The three best rucks this year have been English, Darcy and Goldstein. The ruck should come from them.
Goldstein listed this week as omitted. Guess his numbers belie his influence

Sitting 14th in coaches votes despite missing 4 games.

His best has been very very good. He's polled in 7 games for Coaches Votes so far (out of 11 or 12...I'm leaning towards no votes from last night's game). Due to games missed I reckon he'd need to have vote worthy games in most games on the run home. I agree that he remains in contention, but not much room for error.

He had 4 kicked on him tonight
If you're referring to Weightman kicking 4, the first goal came as a result of poor team defending. Quaynor was 15m away manning Naughton, and not responsible. The second was on Quaynor, but it's hard to defend that. It's a 1v2 and Naughton taps it on to Weightman's advantage who quickly goals - once more, probably on some sloppy team defending and good forward craft by the Dogs boys. Q was on the interchange when Weightman kicked his third, and his fourth he kicked on Quaynor.

During the second term, Weighman got free of Q at half-forward and set up a goal for Jamarra. So you'd say Q conceded one goal (in dead time), let Weightman set up one, and had one kicked on him in a 1v2 with Naughton being the outnumber (Howe was with Naughton at the time and got lost).

I’m not listening to excuses he was playing on weightman

The funny thing is that while Moore was loose last night he did not have many goals kicked on him. Murphy seemed to have a few and even Quaynor who was excellent conceded 3. Some of the critics the other night said that they also look at how many goals defenders create not just lock down defenders. My biggest issue with Weitering is that he can look slow and his kicking can be ordinary at times. He plays as an old-fashioned defender who likes to lock down but he is I reckon a bit more uncontested than some of the other players mentioned.
