Couple of bench upgrades left, really messed up taking Maric when I should have locked in a Mid/Fwd donut to access Fyfe as cover, but team complete:

Next week Seamus -> Mills to act as loop swing (using Dawson) with Sheezel

At some point when he is back Ford -> Jezza

Currently sitting ranked 1284 for the season, just need to dodge injury especially late injury to the FWD or ruck line until Jezza back as cover!
Pretty interesting team. A few pods. I like it.

Did I win the fattest unslaughtered bench in history award? :moustache:

Clearly need Mills etc. too, can do...

Going with Baker as my last DEF upgrade, been consciously trading to stay a bit more unique (can't catch up with the same team!) with players capable of going large. See if Haynes comes up this week, if he does I'll probably stick with him, he had a 95 avg before the concussion etc., if not might trade him to Salem.

Then just injury trades - should still be able to field 22 right to the end even if the late round carnage is as bad as it can get.

Cinc getting dropped would be massively handy, give me that crucial DEF loop - at this point I'm cooked if Roberts starts getting games and Ryan keeps getting picked! Although it would be quite an achievement to end a season with 30 green dots. :D

Seeing that Clarry is out i m just going to finish my side this week instead and see if i can keep up with the pack. Bringing in Butters for Marshall.

Only two trades left but decent cover. Fingers crossed.

I made a similar mistake with Maric, but feel like any damage will be limited? Like you, nearly all my on-field fwds could be switched to the midfield bench if they get injured.

20k left, 5 Trades and I hate it. With trades running low this may be as good as it gets this year for my mob.

Ok - that’s even weaker than my Motley Crew! :p

I just have to ask.

How the heck does the 2022 #1 get into this position? Lots of injuries?

Nah, you have me confused with someone who knows what they are doing, Ray Magoo, not Rusty Magoo. But yeah, lots of injuries this year.
Oooops - sorry!

If you have anymore than two trades then I'd look to downgrade Wilmot and trade Martin to Bont.

If I make planned trades this week, I think I can call this "Complete" - albeit with the Cheezel and some cut-price hombres still on the field. I'd usually like to be in a stronger position but the damage was done early with so many premos copping 3-4-5 week injuries (even though some faked it and came back quicker).

Hang on for dear life from here, try to make some finals. At least with some cash in the pocket I can one-trade injuries to a good replacement and if things work out, maybe bring back Sic, Clarry or some other uber premo late in the piece.

Cheers for the feedback, mate, but silly as it may sound to most everyone, Martin is deliberately a POD M8. He's moving as well as he has in years, he's as emotionally involved in the race for finals as any of the flag years and he's renowned for big finishes to seasons.

I'm backing him in for a big finish and with 1/3rd of their remaining 9 games against the bottom-3 sides, there might be a couple more Tigers currently way off people's radars who rack up a considerably improved average between now and season end. ;)

FWIW, I deliberately took Libba instead of Bont, no point trading into the highest owned players at this point with my ranking. :thumbsu:

Fair enough! Good luck for the rest of the year

Teams complete kenties.

Humphrey > Himmelberg via Cincotta

Ashcroft > Sheezel (Roughy) via Gulden

Keeping Yeo the kent till he comes back. Hopefully he can provide cover for the rest of the season.

Got cover on every line to cover 1-2 week injuries\suspensions.

1 trade left for a rainy day...

This will be until 1 of the following 2 things happen...

1. Tarryn Thomas proves to be a keeper
2. He maxes out in price and I use two trades to turn gin into Macrae, or sideways to a more reliable forward.

Either way, the plan is to have 3 trades minimum for the last 6-7 weeks.
