In fairness port are playing some pretty ******* good footy. Don’t hate me but I’m actually enjoying watching.
God dammit
RawlingI think we should all prepare for pick 16-18 coming back to us from the JHF trade.
Im not saying theyre not, im saying its round 10
8 and 2 last year? Carlton
Never mind Carlton, this is the fifth or sixth time Hinkley has been in this position only for the arse to fall out in the back end of the season, or end spectacularly in a cutthroat final:
2014: 11-2
2017: 14-8
2018: 11-4
2020: 15-3
2021: 18-5
The wildcard this time around is the sideline coaching situation, and just how loose his grip is on the gameplan/tactical situation now that he’s not stuck in his aquarium drowning in sugarfree soda — so who knows, the relative miracle could be in play.
But historically, the implosion is always right around the corner.
…is the death ride. The wildcard this time
I’d be happy to be a May premier at this stage!!F*ck me, havent seen so many happy to be May premiers in a while.
Yeah we use to * being jan- march premiers every second yearF*ck me, havent seen so many happy to be May premiers in a while.
Only Kane is to blame.
Go us.
Only Kane is to blame.
What ever it is, it’s just a bonus on top of Wardlaw.I think we should all prepare for pick 16-18 coming back to us from the JHF trade.
No we picked Butters with our standard first rounder.
The Polec/Pittard pick eventually became the one we used on Rozee.
Hope this helps.
This is so patronising from Ken Hinkley.
They, in collusion with JHF and his manger, tampered with the draft both at the time JHF was selected and when he put in his trade request.
What burns me is that we did not have the team to respond on the field.
It was Pick 11. A bit revisionist. What isn't revisionist is saying 2018 was an unbelievable draft and Port Adelaide managed to draft some of the best players, of a very good crop, with every pick.
It makes Norths Pick 8 look a bit sad (despite all his natural talent) ...
What trades did you do to upgrade 11 to 5?I know, that’s why I said eventually. We turned 11 into 5 through later pick swaps with Freo and Brisbane. Anyway my point was it wasn’t used on Butters, who we picked at 12.
Although I guess you could’ve picked Butters before us at 11 had you held on to it, if you want to look at it that way.
What trades did you do to upgrade 11 to 5?
We should have done whatever that was
Yeah just looking at those trades now I don’t think we would have had the same collateral to trade up 11 to that pickBoth trades with Freo and Brisbane were a bit complicated but from memory it cost roughly 3x second rounders for us to move from 11 to 5 (if you ignore the late pick swaps and Mayes coming in, who proved to be a fringe player at best).
It’s kind of sad we just bowed down to treat him like a protected golden child. We shouldn’t pander to anyone.
Miss the days of ruthlessness. Even those games against the hawks because hodge hitting swallow etc
