And what's with this cope that Hinkley is the savior of Port and deserves a free pass? Port were never going to fold, The AFL want 2 clubs in SA. They were never in The Western Bulldogs position in 1989, where they actually folded but were able to get back their license. And The Bulldogs never made any excuse that Terry Wheeler was the savior of their club, when he came in after that in 1990, because they sacked him in 1994. Also, with The Bulldogs, they sacked Eade, after missing finals, after having made 3 preliminary finals in a row, and they went onto win the premiership, 5 years later. Whereas with Port, Hinkley loses 2 prelims in a row, and misses finals after that, and will probably get another contract extension by sneaking into finals. Port just make every excuse to justify their mediocrity with Hinkley. It's bizarre their gaslighting.
