* List lodgement dates are yet to be made public, so are approximate based on past history and the requirements of the AFL Rules. When lists are lodged, the number of players on the list must not exceed maximum list sizes. At the same time, clubs must provide the AFL with estimates of total player payments in the current and following year, which must prove the club is not and will not exceed the salary cap. (AFL Rules 5.3, 6.1, 6.8, 7.2, 7.9)

Doedee was VERY good prior to the ACLs. Captained the Crows at 23, was headed for a likely AA selection.

Personally, I’m excited at any news suggesting he might be Sydney-bound.

Once Sam Reid is delisted, there will be plenty of space for him to work on his recovery in the rehab room.

Lewis Young should be our kpd target, 202cm 99kg and only 24.
He was brilliant last year for the blues when they had a heap of defenders out injured.
On the outer for some reason, might be gettable.

Kept a close eye on him a few times - I found some of his efforts quite poor. Can't remember which game it was exactly but he had an absolute mare, weak efforts, half arsed attempts at contests he could have affected, and multiple turnovers. I remember thinking what on earth is everyone seeing in this guy. Hard pass.

I don't think there'll be any problem with us and the Dees reaching a sensible agreement in principle. Probably already done.

Yep agree and Carlton fans don’t rate him either. Was traded from Bulldogs who also didn’t rate him.

He's a RFA. Would assume the contract offered would be to avoid a trade, or if he takes a smaller deal, a 2nd rounder via trade should suffice, or what, the Crows match and risk keeping someone who wants out, unlikely.

Crows would match any offer I’d literally be shocked if they don’t (optics being their ex captain etc)- we’d have to facilitate a trade.

has been a solid player at 2 clubs but seems to have fallen out of favour with Ross Lyon. Previously has taken the no.1 oppo forward, so has great experience and is ready now.

DGB seems to split opinion on here but he is the right age profile to be a bookend in defence for our team for next 10yrs, good size (needs to put on some bulk) and a lot of potential. Once he hits 23/24 he will start to deliver on potential. With Hawks going for McKay, this would be a good opportunity to snare him. Will still need a year or two of development.

We should not go after Doedee. Not many KPP’s come back at the same level after 2 ACLs, was a very good player prior to injury but it’s too much of a risk when our other defenders are also prone to injuries.

There are no other KPD on the market or potentially on the market that provide much excitement.

The other alternative is getting Sam Reid

Pick 30 for Grundy is fair value based on late 20’s last year and picking up Salary.
