Arr0w Edwards little indiscretion has certainly played a part here.
With clubs undoubtedly coming hard for TDK in a couple of years, surely we don’t leave him in the board if he gets that far.
Otherwise Simpson, Sanchez and Zakostelsky, would be happy with any of them. The “Smokey” here would be Billy Wilson from links. Carroll enters discussion if no one else slides to our rookie pick.
Judging by his parents' pedigree the mental side should be a breeze! So the rumours about us being focussed on Moir are true.
The talent and skill level are obvious. Club obviously believe he has the fire and effort in him
Hope he develops an engine that can play further up the ground. If he can he have a genuine talent
If he gets to us as a rookie, it would be a huge win.Think we would be looking at Billy Wilson as a rookie pick, not our next pick
If Edwards (Mitch) is gone, I'd be looking at Logan Morris.
Logan Morris Draft Profile
Western Jets spearhead Logan Morris is a strong-marking forward who finds the goals with great regularity and can also swing to defence.central.rookieme.com
Freo probably take MannaghEdwards at 34 and Mannagh rookie?
They have Rhett Bazzo (20yo, 20 games) and Harry Edwards (23, 30 games, 200cm) and undersized Rotham at 193cm, 59 games in. Barrass(28), Bazzo, Edwards will be a very solid combo post McGovern.I would have thought that WCE would need a defender to go with Barass and McGovern aging. So maybe taking O Murphy.
J. McGovern is way past "aging'!I would have thought that WCE would need a defender to go with Barass and McGovern aging. So maybe taking O Murphy.
Martin's 29 next Jan.Love to know our thinking. We have Moir who is another mid sized forward. Do we go another?
If Edwards is available do we take a developing ruck or so we go some more run? Simpson?
Archer Ried is available? Lual is one I like
Key could be if we have a mature "role" player in mind as a rookie.
The question I would like to ask Austin is why did we only go with two picks? Given the eveness, and that we have the Campo kids next year should we have looked at another pick in the 20s by trading our F1? Did we put all our eggs in one basket trying to get a Top 10 pick?
We signed a few players on one year deals this year that are injury prone and/or are role players. Would another kid been better especially if we could have added a developing tall.

3 years left at best?
Moir takes his spot...Logan the 3rd tall.
If we got Simpson maybe we consider Mutaz El Nour as the rookie for similar role to your 2&3 preference? My hope in order:
1. Simpson
2. Lual
3. Jiath
I would then like someone like Brodie McLaughlan as a mature rookie. Can fill a number of big man roles and is ready to go

Has anything been announced? It would be interesting to know what the plan was before and after the foreshadowed changes to the FS/academy rules
Why would you prefer Lual over Jiath? My hope in order:
1. Simpson
2. Lual
3. Jiath
