Liam Jones starting to gather a bit of interest. Won’t set the world on fire but a 55 and good JS at D6 feels good

His key position JS (Bevo adores him) and marking skills and kick outs should hold him in good stead.

Fingers crossed he becomes the Paddy Mc C of 2023

More of a query than a criticism, but has Bruhn is ever shown a fantasy game?

Junior numbers weren't great and had decent CBAs first half of last year and only averaged 60.

Fits my structure but I'm not convinced
+1 here

So Bruhn or McClean? Role vs output?

Pretty close to done now. Only 4 rooks on field and all of Cowan, Davey Jnr, Phillips and Pedlar on the bench, feels like solid depth.

Day down to a Constable/Cole type, Cowan down to Sturt via Chesser down back, and then spare cash on top of Green to turn him into Andy Brayshaw one option, or Bruhn to rook, Phillips on field and Day back up to Cumming, the other option. Also considering Bowes at D4 if he plays, as he's back in full training.

D4, M4, F4 the only changes I'll be making from here:

You've put together quite a few VERY good sides so far. Hope the one you go with clicks.

Panned over this one wondering how you got Macrae M3 whilst still having a lot of other big guns (well, basically I wondered how you made this side better than my side whilst still having adequate bench players) 😡👍

Caught up with a few mates for lunch, and decided to make a "Draft" Classic side, took turns picking a player. Gone rogue, which is pretty funny.

Brad Crouch was such a meme, alot of people fighting over if he's playing round 1 or not so we just chucked him in.

Voting on trades and captaincy each week will be fun.

Not a bad side, not a good side either :p

I think I'm close to my final side. Chasing value and that's it.

Not spending top dollar (950k+). One exception is obviously Dunkley and Docherty who I think is so far above every other defender. Whereas in the mids it's more up in the air.

I went through my side and I actually have a fair few PODS. I believe in Bruhn and surprised McKenna (4%??) is so lowly owned.

Main guys I've swapped back and forth is Smith for Bont which allows Stewart to Sicily and Phillipou to Sheezel. I managed to squeeze Dawson in by getting rid of Davey for another 200k guy like McVee.

In the mids targeting guys who will have increased roles. Smith was the #1 fantasy player early last season. It's now prime 5th year breakout time. Kelly hasn't had more than 50% CBA's since he avg'd 115 in 2019.
I have Smith as M1 also, very similar to mine

Anyone prepared to rank the Mid-Pricers ?

After the popular ones, my ranking is :
Yeo
Worpel
Callaghan
McLean
Day
Bowes
Bruhn
We ranking on average or games played? Worpel’s position significantly impacted by that bit of info

Yeo - no brainer
Worpel - should average ok but whether he plays enough games is the big question mark
Day - playing midfield
Bruhn - same as day. Could swap with him also
Bowes - HFF role by looks of it so will be up and down
Callaghan - outside role but likely starts ok with giants fixture
McLean - forward role

getting very real now

I can't bear to start LJones, and I don't want to field many rookies. So Ladhams R2 seems my only option

Not really sold on Callaghan M5, I'm trying to find the money to get him up to Worpel

Think I've settled on my big 3 mids though: Laird, Oliver, Crae

Exactly so get rid of dpp and force people to pick defenders and forwards and maybe we will get more people doing a Shadow and picking a Curnow and having it pay off big time.

I want to see teams with players like Hawkins/Lynch/C.Cameron/Stengle etc in the forwards not Dunkley/TT/Rozee etc same goes for defence.
Im already playing Supercoach thanks.

Im currently rocking with Gulden but its going to have to be Papley giving up his CBA’s for it to work. Papley was getting about 9 per game last year which i think is enough to justify Gulden but its hard to know if horse threw him in there because Mills & Paps werent playing or if he genuinely wants him in the guts full time this season. Gulden playing so well might force his hand.

Option 1 Docherty and Dawson as D1 and D2 and only 2 $900K Mids, Witshall ruck
View attachment 1627650

Option 2 - McGrath DEF, Gawnshall, 3 x $900K super-premiums

Which option is the best
It’s the type of question we’re all asking ourselves as we get down to pointy end of the process before rd 1 lockout.

My thinking is …lock in your defenders now and stick to it. The mid premos final selection follows depending on $$$ available.

Or go slightly insane constantly swapping around everything and everyone.

Teams selection announcement can’t come quick enough

Option 1 for me. Not sold on Mcgrath and how Gawn is going to be used is still up in the air. Only problem I have with 1 is Merrett and the probable tag round 1.
