Going to bank the Taranto 123 VC.
Rightly so lol

Unsure on taking Doc's 110. Will definitely have higher scores in my side but whether I can pick the right one is another story. I think it will ultimately come down to if I pick Laird or not.

i'd also bank the guaranteed Doch 110. Anything to get out of the blocks without stumbling.

I've banked Doc's score for now but the Laird point makes sense. If you're selecting him you're saying he maintains 120, meaning he has a better than 50% chance of going 111+. Certainly food for thought because I can live with 110 but how long will it take to get Laird back in my side if I go in another direction.

If last night tells me anything it's that the big dogs are the big dogs for a reason. A slow start by Doc was more than made up by the end of the game. You almost have to trust Laird will do the same.

Fair point but you also need to look at it from a risk perspective, if Laird goes 130-150 it gains you 20-40 points. It's round one and he is up against a new coach who has said he'll be putting time into him. Laird has only gone past 120 vs GWS once back in 2017, so i guess he's due!

Well I can lock in my R2 VC/C already and it lines up perfectly

VC Bray
C Sic
I’m a Sicily owner but not sure about him as a captain against us at the SCG? 🤔 Sell me on it?

It’s purely becuase I’m unable to VC Bont and C Bray as he and Bray play at the same time. Only other realistic option is Dunks into Bray. Sic can rack up the points even when the Hawks are getting smashed. It’s more down to how the options line up in game times rather than ground haha.

I was actually briefly considering chucking the C on Sic today

Yeah fair enough. Honestly I wouldn’t put it past him racking them up again. The Hawks are going to see a LOT of ball in that defensive 50 this year and nearly every play seems to go through him.

Only worry I see on the horizon is some teams stopping him being part of that chain, but if the Hawks are getting pumped every week then hopefully they won’t bother 🤷🏻‍♂️

Likely going to go Taranto VC against Adelaide given what the Giants mids did to them and the fact they may be cooked on a 6 day turn around from that brutal heat game today.

Tom Green captain Sunday arvo. He might put up 200 against West Coast:oops: (although recovery from aforementioned brutal game is a concern). If there's murmurs the squad if struggling to recover, may VC new team member Doc on Thursday night.

Not sure Tom Green has nearly enough of a body of work to justify making him captain yet despite playing the Eagles this week. I imagine he probably will do really well but surely there are safer choices out there?

Agree ....he should go big this week, but it's a risk
