Captains 2023 Fantasy VC & Captain Selections

Going Laird (VC) tonight over Dawson. Purely for the UP/DOWN way he has gone all season ... he's due. Right?

(C) English if its a bust.

I am thinking the same thing. Or Clarry C. He has just been so damn reliable and won me 2 of my league games with monster scores.

I had no idea what this captain loophole was until this weekend. I VC'd Dawson and C on Dunkley.
Obviously want to take Dawsons score. So I just put a non player on field (M. Heath) and put the C on him, and put Marshall on the bench as emergency right?
And then the VC score (Dawson) will double at the end of the round?

It absolutely cost me last week not knowing how to do this by having the C on Doch and VC on Taranto so then had to have Doch's score

Yes .....just think of all the points you've lost, not knowing about the Captains Loophole

It pays to have a read of this thread (captains loophole explained)....also, the use of the utility position is a powerful tool, to swing players around

Yes, your VC score will turn to a C score once that non-playing captain's game has started

Good call. TTs been mine saviour all year, very reliable. Have wasted my VC on Spudrong so looks like TT for the C again

Daicos runs the risk of a Windhager tag. I've been waiting for Daicos to be tagged all year, surely it happens this week as I've brought him in.

Hes either tagged or goes massive, Saints concede crazy scores to defs and haven't really tagged all year.

I reckon noone goes him captain because of the tag threat, would be a real ballsy call.

Might put in on Marshall and if I can catch the start of the Saints/Pies game see if there's any indication of a Windhager tag.

You'd have to have a crack at English, right? I'd say there's a better than 50% chance he scores 110.

Thinking to take Taranto - English v Port might be hard given how much they suffocate chip mark stuff which English benefits from, then Kelly/Green against the Hawks on a bogged Norwood oval I don't love - only 2800 total points in the Freo/GC game and suspect it'll be much wetter on Sunday. Might suit Green a bit, but reckon it could be a low fantasy scoring game.

If you were going to chance it, I think I'd narrow the list down to English or Green.

Hey guys so I made English my VC and had C on Green and want to keep English as C so how do I go about making this happen?

Do I put Day on the field and make him C and cover Day with an Emergency?
