We should be registering for the Grand Final ballot this week?
I read the above as referring just to dual members of aAFL and club.

Does anyone know what the process is for Legends members re registering for grand final tickets and purchasing?

There will be a window to register for the ballot sometime early in the week leading up to the preliminary final.
If we win that match, they will run the ballot and deduct the cost of whatever ticket you get from the card details you provide. That will be done Monday morning and possibly even Sunday night.

Make sure you have enough in your account for the most expensive category ticket, because while there are multiple tiers, you won’t get a choice of what you get in the ballot.
If your card is declined, you will just miss out.

Thought Legends Members had Guaranteed Grand Final Tickets IF we make the GF?

We should be registering for the Grand Final ballot this week?
Yes, on Wednesday September 13.

Registration Date

You will be required to register for Grand Final tickets should we qualify to play in a Preliminary Final.

Given Collingwood has won the Qualifying Final, our registration date will be:

Wednesday, September 13

Registration Times (Priorities)

Priority 1 – 8am-12pm (AEST)

Priority 2 – 1pm-4pm (AEST)

Priority 3 – 5pm-8pm (AEST)

As noted earlier, it does not matter what time you register within your allocated timeframe, as all registrations within each priority group will be randomised to determine the order of ticket allocation.

Thanks a lot for this. I didn’t get the club email for some reason.
I didn’t get the email either. Previously I have received a hard copy in the mail for registering.

And, unfortunately, she is correct.
Yes that’s right. It’s why I got the Membership. I grew up going to every MCG game, regardless of who was playing, on a kids ticket with my MCC Member Dad.

When I was 11, I got given an AFL membership for Christmas and would go to the ground with Dad but started sitting in the AFL members, while he would be in the Pavilion.

Wouldn’t call myself a theatre goer. I love the game. Love going to games. Live too far from the G with other commitments so don’t even get to all our games now but I watch most games. AFL membership was designed for such people.

I pretty much go to the Grand Final every year which I enjoy. Have only missed a few since getting my Gold membership in 2001.

Do AFL silver members get access to the priority 3 ballot this Wednesday?
If you enter the ballot, however if you go into the club ballot then you will lose the right to purchase a ticket in the AFL member’s allocation/window. The likelihood of getting a ticket in priority 3 would be extremely low and no more likely than a silver member being able to purchase.

We don't, AFL Members with Collingwood Club Support get no rights in the ballot. It's a Collingwood thing, most other clubs allow AFL members to give up their right of purchase in the AFL members window to go in the ballot.

Eddie never saw AFL Members with Collingwood club support a proper member of the club, and that has carried over even now.

Techincally they are not 100% Collingwood Members

For those who may not have received the email re: Grand Final tix

With the Pies now qualified for a Preliminary Final, please see below for important information relating to Member access to the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

A hard copy of this information has also been sent to Members with access to register for a Grand Final ticket via mail*. We expect these letters to be delivered prior to the registration date, but all required information can be found within this email and within our Member Help Centre.
Grand Final Ballot - Priority Groups
Collingwood FC has three Member 'priority groups' when it comes to Grand Final ticket access, specifically Priority 1 (P1), Priority 2 (P2), and Priority 3 (P3).

Members with P1 access to our Grand Final Ballot are entitled to register for guaranteed access to purchase a ticket to the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final, should Collingwood FC be a participating team.

Whilst P1 members who have successfully registered are guaranteed access to purchase a ticket, please keep in mind that Members are not able to select the location or price category of their allocated seat(s). This is where the ballot element comes into play.

Should Collingwood FC make the Grand Final, the allocation for P1 members will be balloted first. Once the P1 ballot is complete, the P2 ballot will commence. If tickets remain at the conclusion of the P2 ballot, the P3 ballot will commence.
Ballot Registration - Date & Timings
The Member Grand Final Ballot date and timings have been confirmed as follows:
Wednesday 13 September
Priority 1
- 8AM-12PM (AEST)
Priority 2 - 1PM-4PM (AEST)
Priority 3 - 5PM-8PM (AEST)
Please remember that it does not matter what time you register during the designated registration window. All registrations will be randomised to determine the order in which tickets are allocated.
Registration Process
You will require your 12-digit membership barcode number(s) to register for the Grand Final Ballot.

Members who wish to attend together must register in a group by entering all membership barcode numbers in a single transaction via Ticketek, using one credit/debit card. A limit of eight (8) barcodes per transaction applies.

Each member barcode will be charged a $6 non-refundable fee at the time of registration to cover administration costs.

Members will be required to register for Grand Final tickets via the internet (by logging onto ticketek.com.au). Please ensure you have a My Ticketek Account before registering. If you don’t already have an account, we recommend logging onto ticketek.com.au and selecting ‘My Ticketek’ to create an account at least 24 hours prior to registration.

Members wishing to attend together with access to different priority groups are required to register in the timeframe allocated to the Member with the lower priority. For example, a P1 Member who wishes to sit with P2 Members must forgo their P1 entitlement and register in P2 with the other Members.

Should Collingwood qualify for the Grand Final, Ticketek will commence the ballot and successful Members will be charged without additional notice. Successful Members will then be emailed confirmation of their purchase along with information on how to access their tickets via their Ticketek account.
