O'Sullivan's proven versatility is a strength it'd worth noting, his marking would make him a dangerous forward and give us a proper Hogan heir if we trained him as such

Assuming if the swans sounded us out about a swap our reply would have been something like this

Reporting indicates Norths firming on keeping their picks at #2 & #3. Ball is really in Eagles' court now; go all in on Harley Reid (which is what I expect), or blink and accept a trade for #2 and later first round picks.

While North Melbourne could still make a move for Pick 1, Kangaroos president Sonja Hood informed members on Friday that list manager Brady Rawlings has been backed to hold onto both early selections. A "very loud and very clear" message from Hood suggests a trade for Pick 1 is now unlikely.

"On November 20, we'll take five first-round selections into the AFL National Draft to add further weight to our existing raft of recent early draft talent," Hood wrote. "Of those five picks, we'll start with two of the first three selections. So the message to Brady is very loud and very clear – you got us Harry and George last year, and we'd like another couple of those, please."

I doubt the eagles blink on this one …. And reckon north will end up losing half these guys they’ve drafted over the last few years ….. there’s only so much money to pay them

Yep, I don't get it. Their backline looks like it could be a shambles next year, but seemingly doing not much about it. A draftee won't help that much in their first year ... but taking a highly rated draftee would certainly help in the long run. They have so many holes it really wouldn't matter what role Curtain ends up excelling at, he would fill a hole for Norths!

Once again linked to Leake and Windsor as well as a couple other names.
I wonder if you could shift 16 back.
Say 16,43 for 18 , North 2024r2.
I only say that if the best 2 prospects at 16 are talls, and you have taken Leake already, the player you want at 16 could be there 2 picks later.

I think there's a good chance we move a little up or back on the night depending on who's available

I can't see why North would give up a pick in the 20s to go up two picks.

Teams seem to give up alot on live trades to move up. North might think they can get a sliding ruckman at pick 40 or so. I think this would only happen if we rate 3 players the same, and are happy to move back 2 spots.

I’ve trawled through some highlights videos and with my very limited knowledge can understand why we are comfortable where our first pick sits, we should have a decent one drop for us there. If one of the elite ones drops great otherwise a Windsor, Leake or Caddy would work.

With the second pick could be a bit controversial as it’s probably not a need but gee I like the look of Riley Hardeman from WA. Looks like he has good spring for a mark, decent speed, booming left boot that seems accurate.

Our defence looks pretty stacked but it would be hard to ignore his talent, looks a nice prospect.

very nice highlight reel

Not that I think it will happen but a trade could be a good option for the club looking at where the picks will fall for the suitable players, that is if the club is not keen on Caddy as I think he would fit the needs and is a high end talent but
Giants
#7 + #16 out
Crows
#10 + #14 in

#10 Select Leake or Wilson
#14 Windsor or Hardeman (Collard another option and if they are keen they could sub #14 for #20 + 2024 #2nd rd + extra)

#40 Should come in and I cant see any way the club moves up but the pick should come into the learly 30's with all the academy picks but see which of the rucks is leftover and pick 1

GC have 6 picks before #40, Dogs and Hawks are all after #40m not sure on others who may get early bids apart from Suns x 4, McCabe and Croft

– Exciting medium defender and Bulldogs NGA prospect Luamon Lual looms as a possible first-round chance. Lual, who was runner-up in the GWV Rebels’ best and fairest and earned selection in the Coates Talent League Team of the Year, has been linked to the Giants’ second first-round pick, but also has interest from clubs with early second-round picks.

Have I yet mentioned how much I love Lual?

As another option - I would still not be surprised if Watson made his way to our pick. Clearly, still a lot of options in play with just a week to go. Twomey's late, late mail Phantom Draft will be interesting.

The variety of types available in this draft means that whichever way we are forced to jump with our pick, I would expect there will be viable options of the alternate types of players we want at our later picks.
