Position 2023 Midfielders

Anybody hopping on Anderson next week? Essentially at his starting price for a 108 average.
I'll probably get Neale this week so my midfield is done, but if I wasn't, I'd be jumping on Anderson for sure.

Already got Noah, been coping attention and his scoring is up and down. The bye was the big attraction, should still be a good pick though.

I need 3 more mid's, looking for 2 SP's and a cheap one I think. Serong or Neale next week. Will try for Merrett in RD15 then not sure after that. maybe LDU if he looks ok. It's a bit silly but I'd like to get a few players I've not owned before this year, feel like I end up with the same guys every year.

JDG isn't Oliver though. There are a dozen players that can score as well as him.

Trading to Warner for example gets you 4 extra scores.

True, but this week JDGs/Warners absent score (say 100 or so) is replaced by my best "19th man" rookies score (say 60 or so) so I'm only down 40 points.

Round 14 the absent 100 score is also replaced by my best "19th man" rookies score (say 50 or so) so I'm only down 50 points.

Round 15 is worse as I'll just get 18 on field so I'll probably lose 60 points by having to take a low rookie score of 40 or so

Round 16 I'll get my mid E rookie score (Wilmot probably) which might be 60 or so - another 40 points down

Believe me if I had the trades I'd turf him (and I still might) but if I do I'll only have 7 trades left with three rookies still on field I might just have to accept the 200 point deficit over the three weeks. If Warner goes large I'll lose more but that's my fault for being too trigger-happy with trades. I'm not playing for overall but trying to avoid relegation in leagues - if an opportunity arises to convert an L to a W I'll happily trade JDG mid round to a playing premo

No no, just offering my two cents.

I've held these not-quite premo's in the past and it's generally been a mistake. It's different for the likes of Oliver who is the best midfielder in SC, but JDG is no guarantee to be worth the hold.

He’s slow and not very good anymore from what I’ve seen.

Doubt he’d be playing if the Eagles had a semi-healthy list.
