That’s the farcical nature of the system and the gimp enforcing it.Larkey surely low impact I’d argue that
Was a soft nudge to tunnel, wasn’t a bump

That’s why I wouldn’t mind an appeal, if nothing more than to show that the system is broken. The grading system needs to go.
Larkey 100% deserves a suspension, but you can’t grade that as medium impact, so he should get off with a fine on appeal.
Darcy Gardiner didn’t get done for Cannoning into Daicos….
There is no way Larks should go for that. Medium impact my ass, there was no injury sustained. Yeah it was a garbage act but it’s a fine at most.
The system is a circus.have to appeal
The MRP have made their point that that action isn’t allowed but it’s only a fine on impact etc
Fixed it for youThe afl is a circus.

Happy for Larkey to let opponents know that there's a tax on standing in the hole or double/triple-teaming our forwards.
There is a right way to do it though and what Larkey did wasn't it.

It defies logic. So it's right on brand for the AFLLow impact - Gardiner
Medium impact - Larkey
Match Review: Lion learns fate, Cox charged with kneeing
The Match Review of Thursday night's match has been completedwww.afl.com.au
Both are shite acts and should cop suspensions, but the grading system is laughable.
They are hamstrung by their guidelines until they don’t want to beIt defies logic. So it's right on brand for the AFL
It truly is the lotto as the thread title is aptly named.Meh. Jack's report is dumb but it's just a fine so you cop it. Grading of Larky's incident is utterly ******ed, but he brought it on himself. If they can't use an honest charge to give him a week off then they should just take it straight to the tribunal like they are able to. This reverse engineered nonsense makes a mockery of the sport and IMO i'd fight the grading down to low impact to get him off even though I'm fine with a player taking a week off for something as deliberate as that. As for JHF he should eyeball the team mates who didn't put in on the weekend and demand a $100 note from each of them to cover it.
Have I ever mentioned I hate the MRP?
JHF charged with striking but avoids a suspension because it's Jack Silvagni and frankly, even the MRO can see why he'd want to do it.Charges laid:
