Looking at the predicted draft order and trade period, North can restock but WC, wtf are they doing? They don't have picks. One pick one player is not enough.

Hopefully our new F2 will be close to our former F1. Deathride Hawks all season and us win the flag

WC 100% should move back and take North’s 2 and 3 imo.

probably holding on to it as long as soon as possible to get the best deal, no way will they go into the draft with basically just pick 1

I can see North going to Melbourne swapping say pick 3 and 15 for picks 6 and 11, then offering picks 2 and 6 for pick 1
i can’t see any other club with the capital to get pick 1

For the first time in many years I’m not that fussed about getting a key forward prospect, which obviously means we’ll definitely grab one.

Who are we selecting with our amazing premiership first rounder?

Picks 19 and 33 (high 20’s perhaps with GC picks etc)

Don’t think we can target anyone or be role specific. Best available.

Hopefully another Allan type slider
Think about it. Australian nation with plenty of good footballers.
This notion that only the top 10 is any good is ridiculous.
Sliders everywhere.
19 and 33 could prove lucrative.
GW already has his eyes on someone

Yeah I think 19 will be dependent on if there’s someone that slips from that 10-15 mark. But I guess that’s hard to tell atm with how even it is.

Wouldn’t be surprised also if we pulled the trigger on someone that is rated 30-40 mark. Arie Schoenmaker comes to mind. Finished the year off pretty strong, has some good hands and a raking big kick. Could pair well with Ryan down back in the future.

They were talking about this on sen the other day..when commentators are talking about the top 10, they are referring to the elite.

Plenty of talented players after the top 10 who will go on to have long & successful careers. And some of those will also become Premiership players, Brownlow medallists, All Australians.

Okay, gòod, so I'd like two premiership players, please.

I think Schoenmaker would be a good choice for us KPD and I also like the look of Weckert as a project forward a late pickup or rookie choice,I am not sure we have good enough choices to get a decent mid ATM.

I'm not sure Allan actually 'slid'. He was rated late first round, and he went late first round...

And either way, the definition of a 'slider' is just a kid that the pundits on bigfooty rated higher than the collective professional recruiting managers...

Should be a few good mids available and wingman around our selections, hopefully Dekka nails them.

Bet we put the feelers out that our R1 is available should another club want it and the player we want isn’t there.

Just will cost the oppo team an F1 + R3 this year.

Then we just wander alone and grab two players “not exposed to elite pathways” and move on.

It seems as though it’s not yet on the table and North believe WC are bluffing on Reid. Personally I don’t think they are and will back themselves in to get Curtain back in 4 years time once they’ve done their time down the ladder. I don’t think Reid’s bluffing either I think he’s genuinely ok with playing in the west and I think it’s more about going places quickly for him.

if we can manage to get any of the following with our 2 picks I would be more than happy.
Obviously be nice to get some tall talent in

Ashton Moir. Forward, sublime talent, but does he have the hunger
Patrick Weckert. a bolter, big bodied forward, reminds me of Van Rooyen. Great hands and good kick
Archery Reid 200cm forward who can also ruck, they don’t grow on trees
Arie Schoenmakers. Key back with a weapon of a left foot, McKenzie like
Mitch Edwards. ruck/forward he can take a big grab
Charlie Edwards. Tall half back/mid with good skills

probably won’t select any of them, but from what I’ve seen who will be available around our picks, these are the ones that stand out to me

The little I've seen of Reid, he can mark at the highest point & I know he has played both ends, & as you said, ruck, so very versatile, though I doubt he'll fill out enough to play AFL ruck.

Twomey’s final phantom (generally the most accuracy given his contacts) had him at 13, and others had him around that mark too, so yeah he slid in that regard.
