7. Browns 21 Jets 17 | 2018 Week 3

It’s fair to call this game a fever dream, seeing as it involved two rookie quarterbacks and two downtrodden franchises. The Cleveland Browns entered this game riding a 19-game winless streak dating back to 2016 and the New York Jets were, well, the Jets. Browns starter Tyrod Taylor left with an injury in the second quarter and No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield stepped in. He completed 17 of 23 passes for 201 yards in relief as the Browns edged Sam Darnold’s Jets. Famously, the city of Cleveland was rewarded with free beer from locked refrigerators when the Browns won their first game in 635 days.

My favourite part of this game :tearsofjoy: ...Should have picked the refs flag up off the ground and wiped his ass with it again

Just curious.....has there ever been a TNF game that ended up being a great game? Game of the season? Just wondering because surely one of the hundreds has to end up being better than advertised.
Broncos @ Chiefs, Week 2 2015

Favourite reg season game of all time

Unrelated to TNF, but my favorite all time act was when Bart Scott threw the refs flag into the stand....

Marcus Peters has chucked a flag into the stands before also.

im surprised to see how close the AFC actually is, and idk if thats just how embarassingly shit it is minus the top 2-3-4 teams, or the fact its just even (or QB injuries), also the current playoff system is dog shit, i know its a money grab but i loved the old system, 4 div winners + 2 wildcards

NFL owners voted to have a regular season game in Sao Paolo, Brazil in 2024.
The new international game will be made official later this week, per reports. Under Commissioner Roger Goodell, the league has hosted regular season contests in Mexico, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Goodell and other league officials have talked about an expansion team outside the United States as well. An NFC team is expected to be the home team for next year’s Brazil game.

At least Kraft isn't dumb enough to try and trade him...

NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Curran reports Patriots owner Robert Kraft has decided to fire head coach Bill Belichick after the 2023 season.
Curran reports that Kraft made the decision to end Belichick’s legendary run as New England’s head coach after the Pats’ Week 10 loss to the Colts. Last week’s win over the Steelers does not change the calculus, per Curran. “They were going to play out the string, and at the end of the year, there would be a parting of the ways for a variety of reasons,” he said. The Patriots are 3-10 and have the NFL’s fourth worst point differential this season. Belichick, 71, will find several suitors this offseason if he is indeed let go and wants to stay in coaching.

He would look great at the Browns.

Although probably more needed at the Panthers, Bears, Chargers or Squeelers.

No for Panthers, if Tepper is willing to hand over the keys (highly doubtful) id prefer it to be a Jim Harbaugh or if they became available.. Mike Tomlin or Mike Vrabel.

Bill as the GM is so off-putting with the roster in a fine mess as is.

Chargers would be the best landing spot, they have talent on the roster already, just need better coaching.

Jim?

I doubt he will leave his comfortable long term secure position just to be back in the NFL.

Bring in a top level OC as HC and retain your DC. Replace GM and things can improve.

Lot of talk is he wants out and has been wanting out for the past few years. Just hasn't had an NFL team willing to cater to his demands over how much control he gets.

Blast from the past...

Rolando McClain had his suspension lifted by the league Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

McClain was originally suspended in December of 2016 before being reinstated nearly three years later. He was subsequently released by the Cowboys, then suspended again in December of 2019. With his latest suspension now lifted, McClain is a free agent and is able to purse an opportunity with an NFL team. However, he's 34 years old and hasn't played in an NFL game since 2015, so his chances of latching on with an organization are more than slim.

Rolando?!?!? Reinstated…. Waste of his time, it’s been years since he played. No one is going there.
