Costs too much to cut him, I think he is just pissed at Barry. Its not just about the coin toss, but there were questions about his injury rehab or if he was inactive the last few weeks while practicing because he refused to play in the scheme. He was one of the players who spoke up against Barry's scheme early in the year when questioned why he wasnt covering 1 on 1 in plays where a Preston Smith was 1on1 with the WR1. and said the DB room wants to play more man and press not 3rd and 5 playing 10yds off.

I like the move by Bronco's no point playing Wilson in two meanless games since they have basically been eliminated from the playoffs. So many qbs been hurt this season don't blame broncos for shutting Russ down so they aint on hook for 30+ if he gets hurts. The Raider did basically did the same with Carr last season.

Plus its great for one of my fantasy league finals the guy has no qb with russ out.

Broncos signed Stidham to a decent amount of money for a backup QB. Clearly Payton liked him and thought he'd get a chance. Could see him being the bridge QB next year

Where does Russ end up? Im sure hell start somewhere, Atlanta maybe if Arthur Smith keeps his job? They have been looking for a QB with a good TD & INT ratio for two years and Russ has had that this year. Clearly never going to be the player he was previously but maybe can be solid for them and they have far better weapons than Denver. Falcons country lets fly.

My early tip would be the Bears.

Falcons, Commanders and Raiders would be my first 3 guesses.

These crazy money QB deals are like the AFL 5 year + contracts they just don’t work outside of Mahomes/Buddy.

Flacco has outplayed Watson
Burrow was inconsistent then injured
Wilson was horrible last year and back to his stat pedaling, QBR watching best this year

Will be in testing to see what happens with Lawrence this offseason - hasn’t done much to deserve that huge contract this year but will most likely get it
