Sorry for lateness folks!

The Jets, i'd back them against the 5 teams ahead of them. Similar to the browns with an elite D that should win them games with competent qb play.

The chargers are an interesting team. Feels high, but 3 losses and 2 wins all within one score. Could be a good side or terrible....

There comes a point time sadly when the Chargers run out of chances despite the talent.

Everyone loves using Staley as the scapegoat , i'm not saying he shouldnt cop any blame ( he absolutely deserves a good portion of it) ...but watching that game against Dallas I knew the Chargers would blow the final drive and game, coz that's what they do. How sad is it when you have more confidence in Dallas than another team not bottling it. The truth is Herbert doesn't get it done regularly in big moments (not blaming that INT solely on him but it's just another example of where other franchise QBs take their team down the field for a win and he doesn't ) , you can blame the coaches, defense, WRs etc all you like but he's gifted a pass too frequently.

Since being drafted he has had the most game winning drives. Which is partly because his D never lets him play with a lead.
Some of his INT's and bad decisions are because he is forced to make throws into tight windows. sure MNF he had a poor game and was seeing stuff late, leading to late or missed throws.

There is no help for him. the D doesnt do its job, the team cant draft WR's and the OL is trash.

In a few years people will say the same about Lawrence and the Jags if they also dont give him some help.

Just about every team would kill to have either of them at QB.

That can all be true , still doesnt mean he doesnt blow chances and everyone looks to blame anybody else.

Dont buy the no help on offense, plenty of teams who would kill for Allen and Williams as a WR1 AND WR2 and Ekeler as their RB. The oline is also nowhere near as bad as many other teams. Slater and Johnson have proven to be very good picks.

I agree the defense plays well below what it should (as I said Staley does suck, not disputing that)

Not saying hes terrible, absolutely a top 10 QB, just saying hes a bit overrated.

I like Keenan Allen but he has been hurt so much. Williams was far too inconsistent. sure he would chuck up a couple of 100yd games a season. but also have a few 20's. Johnston they are not really using yet. OL isnt the worst. but also always has players missing or in bad form.
Ekeler is a solid RB and good catcher

I said he makes mistakes. i still think its because he tries to do too much. He shouldnt have to be trying to have a game winning drive every other week. And you know i hate the stat about game winning drives because it means you are always in a position to need to comeback. like Carr leads the league in them since he was drafted. and other than his brother nobody is pretending he is a good QB.

For me there are only 3 QBs better than Herbert and they are Mahomes, Allen, Purdy (only kiddings about Purdy) no really Burrow.

100% true
MNF was a fascinating game in that they are my two least trusted “good” teams. And as you say, Dallas was always going to win it.

Bit similar to Allen

I remember defending him with his fourth quarter and OT game winning drives, against the absolute brainfarts.

Herbert has a much higher floor than Allen did, but he must demand these unacceptable losses end. He is the leader, and they have to be absolutely skewer each other when that doesn’t happen. Should have happened in the playoffs last year, but clearly didn’t.

I would take Herbie over Burrow. and Allen has bad games too where he costs the team. His meltdown are worse than Herbies.

I don’t think Jets or Browns will have competent QB play, though.

As the weather gets colder and the games get tougher, they will both score <10 a few times.

I’m not a QB power rankings expert like GG.exe , however

1. Mahomes
2. Allen
3. Burrow
4. Jackson
5. Herbert
6. Tagavailoa
7. Hurts

Lawrance is better. and Goff is playing like a top 5 QB this season.

Is there a reason the numbers on the NO jersey are yellow while the collars are gold?

You have great eyes...I was still wondering how the league couldn't come up with a better colour clash than black on white.

I think they are gold. its just the trash heap they call the superdome and the way the stadium lights the field that makes it look that way.
