I like LDU but he isn't priority one for me. Even if he goes big this year he will be available again at some point for around 600k so 550k isnt a massive discount. Almost nobody goes to 700k and stays there.
Laird didnt drop below 650k IIRC. Trading to a 700k premo who is burning you week in and week out is not going to be an easy task.

LDU worries me, and I am more scared I pretty much have no way of bringing him in without trading a Doch type player. No thanks. However another 140+ score, and people will start to scramble.

Got Gawn to go.

So - D.Cameron & Laird
V
English & LDU

I fear as a non owner we’ve had the worse score Laird will put out and he’s really not going to drop an astronomical amount.

But English looks like an even bigger must have, has the game to go 130+ for the season as the highest ruck. Think Grundy like.

The 2nd one. LDU is the real deal

Daicos & Cox. While I’m not sold on Cox, I think Ridley is resigning yourself to an underperforming premo. He just got 70.
Both Dawson & Daicos are picks you want by the end of the year but Dawson should be more affordable soon.

LDU in his last 13 averaging 119. Gotta be LDU. He’s done it in big losses too so it doesn’t matter that North are still going to struggle, plus if you actually watch him he’s a weapon

Trying to fit about 5 wanted trades into 3 this week, so:

Setterfield & Ziebell (I think 1 stepping stone and a possible keeper if retains this role, believe these 2 will make close to $300K between them)

vs

LDU & Chandler (keeper plus $200K cash gen)

Have been offered Walsh for my Setterfield in draft.
I can carry Walsh on the pine for a couple of more weeks so it’s just a matter of who will average more until the end of the year. Wary of Walsh’s injury record.

Laird has history. LDU does not. He is not scoring 150 every week, and certainly won't be next week IF he cops the Finn tag. If he hits his projected score, next week he's around 605k. If Finn tags him I think he will still be under 600k. If you can get him for his current price shouldn't be that hard to find another 45k. He will def be available for low to mid 600's most of the season, if he ends up hitting 700k he won't stay there. Other players will make a lot more than that. People saying LDU is number 1 mid this year need to calm it down and look at other players who have had zero premo scoring history and have scored incredible first 2 rounds of the season.

My plan is to look at him after a potential tag which he has not had to deal with (not to mention playing against two easy teams with no midfield), and maybe bring him in next week. But I have a feeling someone else will pop off and everyone will scramble to bring them in, always happens (everyone on JHF last week, no one thinking about Setterfield, then the opposite this week).

English VS Cameron and why?
English. His ceiling is far too high and he hits it often. Problem is, it would be like trading in Heeney when he is running hot on form. You are just asking to be hurt. Cameron, if he lasts the season, will be a great swing between R/F in a final team. English will break down eventually. It is only a matter of time. However until then, it will be one hell of a ride.

If the extra 100k helps you bring in someone like Ziebell or another useful upgrade, I would go with Cameron.

I think it's Cameron easily. He's a keeper at fwd for 460k. There's not as much value in English at his price. For all the talk of his huge ceiling (which he does have in individual games), he's still never managed to avg over 105 across a season (that's without mentioning the injury problems).
