Doc & LDU for me.

My thinking there is that Doc is going to be 10+ higher than any other Backs and if LDU doesn't work out there are multiple options to easily shift too whereas getting in to Doc if you don't have him will be tougher.

Also gives me $0 lol

First one probably depends on whether Kingsley lets GWS get away with junk footy like Leon did.
All 4 have problems and it's causing me to mmm maybe not
Taranto has to beat Richmond's system of crushing mids but they did say he will be the main mid and moving Bolton/Martin as mobile forwards. So surely if he is in there he will go 110
Cogs is the number one target you would think either him or kelly, do GWS go full rebuild or not

That's the issue with them at the minute isn't it and I can't work out where to land. Less junk might help Cogs, Green & Cummings but could also hurt Cogs, Himmelberg and Kelly, or it might hurt/help them all.

This season more than the last few I'm wishing it was back to the old NAB Cup days so we get a better look at new styles and coaches etc. Richmond with TT & Hopper, then StK with Lyon's use of Roma, Steele, Sinclair and to a lessor extent with Phillipou and Allison would be great to get more info on but perhaps GWS even more so with Big Pipes Kingsley and what he thinks of a game style and how to use Green, Himmer, Kelly & Cogs. Not to mention Clarko and TT, LDU, Simpkin, Tucker, Sheezel, Goldy/Xerri etc.

Training reports are great but when according to those reports, 13 teams are primed for a Premiership run and everyone everywhere is training the house down and in career best fitness and form its a bit tricky.

Interesting one, pitting the emerging against the proven -

LDU & Naicos

VS

Mills & Bowes

***************

Thoughts guys? :)

The former .....LDU and Daicos ....just a better player combination

+1
I get that excitement when I see those names also.

Interesting isn't it, because I'm the same when I see it. Bowes and Mills should be good and average 190+, but LDU and Daicos could be great and could average 200+.

Not often that the uber and the midpricer gets topped by two emerging premos - but it definitely feels that way looking at the names and comparing.

Butters vs Tom Green

(and yes im aware they are different positions but theyre near same price and either could work in the team)
I like Butters. He had a few injuries which knocked down his price but I reckon he's about to explode. I know people are high on Green for a breakout but I'm worried he remains a sub premium player with bis lack of goal kicking and spread.

But, Green is a goal kicking mid ....that was the negative last season, he was played FWD a lot because of his mark / goal strength

I prefer Green over Butters, simply on the basis of potential injury with Butters ....I have enough risky players in my side already, without increasing my injury exposure

|Agree with a lot of both these

Butters clearly has the fantasy game but also has the injury risk which always seems to keep him down. BUT if he manages to avoid that the I agree he has the ability to explode (even if just for a 6-8 week start as at least then if he cops one he would have got points and made cash, and in my structure likely be a trade to a mid to balance structure)

Green im uncertain on. Part of me feels he could become a long term high scoring mid and its a matter of when. But also Im not certain like you Richo
What worries me most is his drop after the hot start doesnt really follow a trend of reduced CBAs (it dropoped in the last 5 rounds, ut even excluding that he had already dropped off with maintaining CBAs - not sure of any more detailed analysis of his role though). If his CBAs told a stor of "if he gets more CBAs his scoring will increase" id be all in as i'm sure he will be central cog in that midfield.

Both could end up "competition winning picks", both could end up big disappointments priced/scoring awkwardly.

On the balance of it i lean toward Butters as a 10point upside makes him a likely keeper (although not for sure depending on DPP additions) whereas Green that would still need to be a definite trade so the lower threshold there makes butters safer.

I worry T Green is more a SuperCoach pick than a fantasy pick but I need to see more. Everything is lined up for him up breakout this year so if there’s a year you start him it’s probably this one. Especially given the amount of players in that sort of pride range meaning he’s an easy switch if he doesn’t work out

He kicked 10 goals last season which isn't a lot. He's kicked 18 goals in a 45 game career. A goalkicking midfielder is someone who averages a goal a game or more IMO.

Which MIDS are averaging a goal a game ?

Dunkley is probably closest ....he had 17 goals last year ....so 10 goals from a 21 YO Green, in a struggling side, wasn't bad
