I really like right until... you get to Salem. I like the pick but thyroid issues are worrying me. Cameron is also battling issues but not so severe.

I'd be curious to know if Salem had to deal with this in the past especially 2021 when he scored pretty well.

Right I would love if you downgraded Worple to a gun midfielder like say any highly drafted midfielder ready to go and upgraded Salem to say... Young or Daicos.

Yeah I mean I feel like you need Mackenzie anyway. He's a high draft pick and whilst he may be an expensive rookie, he will IMO average well over 30 points of where he's priced. And he will probably play any game he's available. Hawks need to blood the kids.

I dunno if we need to worry about having too many rookies. I know the substitute still exists but I reckon it'll be used for fringe players, tactical switches, lesser rookies, injuries and for players working their way back from injury.

If you're starting guys like Ginbey, Mackenzie, Sheezel etc. I reckon those guys start and play every game to the end. Teams need to give high draft picks as much experience as possible and the experience of playing out a full game is so valuable.

I’d have less faith in Bowes tbh. Cameron should be relatively clear from the PS games and the round 1 team named what the Cox impact will be.

tigs2010 Yep. All good points. The issue that stands out to me is that if Bowes fails then there are a number of options in the backline to shift across to. Darcy otoh is basically the lowest priced fieldable ruck option at this stage of the preseason.

That might just be 1 green dot vs 2 green dots but if the first yield two green dots it has much more merit. How much gas does Ziebell still have in the tank anyway. I'd go Sam Flanders instead of Ziebell. OK Ziebell might go back, but doubt it under Clarko or his proxy, wheras if Flanders starts (i know there is an if) he is getting more mid time (racked up huge numbers in the midfield in the NEAFL end of the season), and you have DP FWD/MID.
