In scenarios like this, it's almost always about taking the better premo.

I'd easily take Doch over Angus, and settle for Lycett instead of Cameron. And Dunks instead of Cogs seems like a no brainer - Hunt vs Worpel could be a wash.

The lower end of the pair are the ones you'll be looking to flip in the early rounds anyhow, so not much point getting hung up on them

Yeah I'm interested in Cameron again too. I saw a Twitter thread showing Cox didn't actually affect his scoring too much last year when they went dual rucks. But if downgrading to Lycett was the only way of getting Doch, I think I'd suck it up and do that. Guess I'm also not particularly high on Angus either - seems like he could easily be shifted to a low scoring role at a moment's notice. Doch is more certain to be D1 whether he gets mid time or not.

Maybe there's another way you can keep both Doch and Cameron?

Baz for me too. Though it's more due just to personal preference. If I choose Baz and it doesn't work out, I can live with that. But if I go Macrae instead and it turns out that last year's output is just where he's at these days, then I'll be kicking myself.

Also I feel like it's an easier mental leap to cut ties with an underperforming Baz mid season; whereas Macrae you can get strung along, always telling yourself he'll finally click next week...

Great question. Think Daicos and Young could be anything so I would lean that way, but if you’re short on decent VC/C options then go with Docherty.

Yeah I'm leaning towards backing the young (pardon the pun) breakout candidates as I should have C options elsewhere. With the hope that they can both be keepers, where as with richards he isn't as likely to be a top 6 DEF so may need to be traded... but could easily see both options turning out fine

Yours is a tricky one. Both English and Cameron have question marks over them at this stage of the preseason. And so does Gus, to some extent.
I'm comfortable paying the extra $$ for Doch no matter whether he's in the defense or midfield. Given that, I'd roll with the DC and Doch combo.

Would be interested to hear how Dees fans feel about Gus though.

Ward has the tools to be a top fantasy mid in the not too distant future. Think he’s an amazing bench mid to have. Once he starts coming on you’ll have plenty of midfield trade bait by the sounds of it
