So, are there any training write ups for this week at all, or is that secret PM group an actual real thing?
If so, can someone please PM me...I'm ever so good & well behaved.
+1 for me as well please

I wonder if Cornes will come out and do 2 full days on the radio discussing how bad Geelong are and that they are in for a world of hurt after this game against Brisbane? Honestly look worse than us last week.

Also feeling a lot better about us after watching this Freo v Port game.
Terrible decision making and skills on display.

We literally came up against probably the red hot premiership favourites that had their best 22 on the park.
Yeah its a pretty average watch from both sides. Geelong obviously dont give a shit outside of getting some run into their players. Melbourne turned up wanting to spank us to prove a point, congrats for their February premiership i suppose but ultimately wont matter.

Cut out sugar .. cut out alcohol ... cut out processed foods .... cut out big plates of food when you do eat ..... and *ing exercise ..... and I am not talking about a flimsy 20 minute stroll ..... you bunch of overweight lards
Cut out alcohol WTF. Is it even worth contemplating going on.

No he won’t and if we won the flag last year he and no one else would of cared what we done against Melbourne last week

We cope it in the press because we have been rubbish for ten years plus, win games against good sides and play finals and you won’t cope crap

Hey Stavro I absolutely love your passion and commitment for Ross but have you considered what happens in the event the improvement and higher standards isn't enough for this list to rise up the ladder? Have you also considered that there may in fact be numerous players who don't respond to Ross's management style as was the case during his time at Freo? Just seems like you aren't giving yourself any wriggle room.
Just saw this.

So many different parts to this.

I think we don’t make finals this year and we still improve.

I think we make finals next year and the push to contend is in 2025.

The Freo boys loved Ross. Heard Brayshaw talk about how pivotal he was for his development early doors?

You are looking at the Ross appointment and translating success to immediately playing finals and if we don’t it’s a failure.

Now, I could see the potential case of that had we not lost both key forwards/jones/Billings/Dmac/Hayes and potentially Ross all before round 1.

I see improvement coming from every player. I think we haven’t scratched the surface in developing professional footballers and that’s why I can accept a poor 2023 - because it won’t be the same next season.

The list won’t be so unbalanced. The players won’t be coming from a program that had so little expectation on them from day to day let alone week to week or offseason to pre season.

This season in my eyes, is almost a stress test on some of these guys. They’ll have the bar set way north of what they are used to and need to get to work on it.

So you improve as a team as more and more players meet that bar and then they go again.

What I personally think will happen is that we will see youth getting a lot of games and we will see a transition of best 22 players at years end with more kids coming in. But over a wider age span - Say 18-23 and potentially a big gun key back to sure us up.

This time next year I believe the list will have enough cover and depth that it breaks into the 4-6 area on the ladder.

this is the least worried or concerned I’ve been since 2012.

It’s not like I’m talking secret PM info either 😂 head down to Moorabbin. If you get a chance Ross himself will tell you that we will get there - we just need time. Because we are coming from a long way back.

Just looked at the team sheet for the practice match. Coffield an emergency, which might mean
he's not quite ready to play round 1.
And although, not on the injury list, Dmac is still missing???

Just to remind us - Cam McKenzie had 24 disposals today against Collingwood.
I’m pretty confident he was never the player we truly wanted.

We went after pick 3. Which means we weren’t going to take him there.

I think we liked him but wanted players with much bigger upside

Essendon shaped the draft.

We wanted 3 for Sheezel or Wardlaw no doubt. Once we were “stuck” with 9 we were going to take the best left. I personally loved McKenzie and wanted him but Pou looks absolutely fantastic.

So what? We never had a chance to get him and Phillipou will be better. Your intitial post was rank.

Oh and it wasn't sarcasm, it was straight up and direct mocking.
Yeah but if we could have got McKenzie as an nga we could have shifted our first rounder out for two next year. Would have been perfect for us. Saints get screwed again

But our first round pick didn’t exceed Cmac/Hawthorn. So a bid coming in, in the top 10 means we were only ever taking 1 first rounder.

NGA is great for the game as it introduces kids to elite systems earlier, so therefore skills are developed better. Just a pity about not being able to secure the best ones you trained

Judging from what Windy said I don't think we have a huge amount to do with them. They come to the club once a week but they're hardly a product of the NGA program. It's more an exposure thing to the system.

The Dogs no doubt made out like bandits but if Owens and Windy become guns then we've probably done better than most.
