Not making excuses (Brissy just too good) but wanted to note they only had 4-5 players under 100 games. And one of those was in the high 90s. We had ~10.

They are a talented list, cherry ripe for success.

We aren't that young any more, but we aren't at our peak yet either.

I think we will get better over the next 2-3 years.
I expect 5 grannies appearances in the next 7 years

Am gutted with the result right now, felt like the boys were out on there feet after quarter time. Always knew it was going too be a hard ask coming up against a team which had the week off and on there home deck especially after the 2 gruelling games of footy we have had over the past couple of weeks. I am super proud of the boys though it’s been a hell of a ride this year, especially considering where we came from. Am super excited for next year especially having the boys experience what finals footy is all about, will make them hungrier. Hopefully we can have a good pre season, work on a couple of our weaknesses and add a fresh Zac Williams back into our best 22. Feel like number 17 is around the corner! Go Baggers

What a wild ride the past 3 months have been as a supporter. Almost surreal to watch it unfold.

After watching tonight’s game, I’ve got a few observations.

Firstly, we absolutely need to shed a few one-paced midfielders. Need to re-invent hewett or kennedy’s roles or move on for trade capital imo. Fogarty already signed but he’s another. Dow already looks destined for the exit.

We absolutely need to throw the kitchen sink at some Zac Bailey types. Inside/outside mid that can spread and break lines/tackles and has x-factor.

We also need a high level small forward who can be at the feet of the big boys. We also need another half decent ruckman (Pittonet is a trier but he ain’t the answer).

Get these right and we’re a realistic chance next year, 100%

I’m as bad as anyone for highlighting weaknesses but the first order of business is to win enough games that we don’t have to travel interstate to win finals.

It’s simply too hard a task. Nobody was beating Brisbane in Brisbane today even though we looked likely at one point.

Brisbane have had 4-5 goes at prelims.
They have been here many times , both home and away and failed all of them prior to tonight…there not easy to win….we have some things we need to work on but we gave it a nudge

We will need a good break with injuries again - we didn't have too many missing other than Zac and Jack

We won plenty of games without Dow as well as 2 finals, let's not try and rewrite history with a fringe player
Don't disagree but you have to say he probably would have helped tonight

Being killed at the CB by clearance and pace, two things if nothing else we know he brings, was kind of insulting considering that's supposed to be our identity

Not saying he would have won us the game but we did look deadly with him in there and not so one paced
