We look like we are going to rely on system and our contested game, and not ensure we have plenty of speed around the ball to try to match their speed. I hope that works for us.

It's a worry that we are playing so conservatively right now and had less shots on goal than both Sydney and Melbourne.

Voss has alluded in his press conferences that its not by design. Seems our players are tightening up, particularly since the few times the likes of Newman and Gov did go for more aggressive kicks vs Sydney they back fired big time.

A bit worrying, especially compared to how we played earlier in our winning run and watching GWS take it on.
Early in our winning run we were playing some average teams though. Our game evolved as the opposition got tougher. You are less likely to win finals playing razzle dazzle football unless you are playing someone like Port with their deficiencies.

Have gone completely insane and got tickets for my wife and I on the club's charter flight to the 'Gabba. Can't afford it, but can't afford to not go!

The opportunity to spend the day with a 'plane load of Carlton nerds was too good to pass up.

Brisbane were impressive against Port Adelaide, but prior to that struggled to beat St Kilda at the Gabba, beat Collingwood, squeaked over Adelaide by a goal at home and just got over Fremantle by three points.

Yes, Brisvegas should be favourites, but they will only have played one game over the four weeks, and we bring a far more intense brand of footy than the Power.

Not saying we'll win, but it's far from a foregone conclusion.

I'd include Harry and Jack for Cuningham and Kennedy.

Cunningham has been lucky to hold his spot. Has been disappointing bar one or two things. First to be out imo for Martin.
Kennedy probably goes out too for McKay.
Keep Hollands as sub. He did everything and more when brought on that you could expect and his running and pace was part of why we won. Keep him.

Our game style has evolved since we turned the corner. Gone from dominating games in all aspects and playing on through the corridor to playing more conservatively through the finals. I get it. The physical toll would be huge playing like that, particularly because every game has been an elimination final for 12 weeks. We are hugging the boundary line more and I think that is one of the reasons why Melbourne were in disarray with the Acres' goal. They didn't expect the switch.

Interestingly, our on ballers Time On Ground was quite low, again. Walsh highest with 81%. Can't help but think that Voss is truly gambling and trying to keep an eye on winning the premiership with playing conservatively to conserve energy in the hope we can keep winning.

The fact that we won against a top side by being beaten in most stats and to take our chances, shows we have evolved and we are playing adaptively.
I think it’s more than he’s playing a four man central mid rotation rather than five these days. He’s getting great minutes from his wings and Cotts. Leaves the 4 to rotate 2 spots and average 75.

It's going to be huge work for our Mids. but if we win the midfield and hit targets, we don't have to keep up with their run.
Will have to be a precision game though.

They are going to have their share of ball however. It will spend more time on the ground than not. Lots of pressure needed at the drop of the ball so they can only hack it out.

IMO it has to be Owies for Martin.......He was very poor Friday even though will be eternally grateful for his last quarter goal.

Comes down to Cunners or Kennedy for Harry?.......... Think Cunners out.

Kennedy stronger and better suited to finals footy.

Would love to see Jsos in as well , think his heart could be huge in a big final......So tough.
