His last 2 years quite a drop off from 2020. I reckon Luke Ryan is a gun, but he is not in absolute peak physical condition. (Didn’t appear to be for most of the 2022 season either)

Boys were down in Dunsborough yesterday afternoon & evening. Fantastic to chat to all the coaching staff who were very open & keen to chat. They do the community stuff well & were happy to be back out in it. Was stoked to be able spend about an hour talking to JLo & Graham 1 on 1. Awesome to talk to Cam Shepherd & Geoff Valentine about the Peel set up & how that all works week to week.
Found out Joel Corey’s nickname is Smithy because he has 2 first names, also interesting to see that Tania Armstrong is working there full time as media manager. I did not know that & it was good to catch up with her.
Good chat with Caleb as well, asked him about the concerns with young players heading back home. He said he bought a house 9 months ago with his girlfriend here & they both love the state & the club with his girlfriend having close relationships with all players girlfriends.
All the new draftees were there which was a great effort, geez they look young but theres some great height amongst them. Asked Mat Johnson where he‘d like to squeeze into the line up with the midfield pretty stacked for now, he wants a crack at wing. He‘s pretty excited to be fit & ready for the preseason & has done a heap of work in his time off.
Luke Jackson does not like to be the centre of attention & the coaches said it will be horses for courses with him & Darcy in the ruck. Depends on the individual match up, but they said they could not pass up the opportunity to get him here.

The media team has been a success for Freo of late but Tania certainly knows her stuff and is a good get (albeit she and family are obviously massive WC fans).
Great news on Caleb but can't relax until his brother arrives as a train on and he signs the 5 year contract!!
I didn't know Cam Shepherd was still at Peel. What's his job there?
