I feel for all the folk I saw, from cheer squad to regular punters who made a far bigger investment in thir love of the emblam and the colours than did most of our players. They spent actual dollars to be there to see that rubbish; took time out of their lives to travel to sydney for the sole purpose of supporting their team, to be served that inept, impotent, incomprhesible effort.

It will wilt and fade. The Mighty Blue Army will become a battallion of believers, the hardcore.

Why the manic footy all game is beyond me

They seem to not know the difference between chipping it sideways and backwards and manic footy. Either way though it’s bombing it and that’s the frustration. The players seem to be genuninely confused with the game style and we’ve lost our greatest strength of clearances. I mentioned it in the game chat. We lost centre clearances 13-7 against a side who were beaten 18-8 from a LDU and Cunnington less north Melbourne. Amazing

The ball bounces out of their d50 so easily.

Motlop, Durdin 1 tackle each and Owies 2.

Simply not good enough off and on the ground.

Are our small forwards just dumb and have no forward craft? Or is it game plan stuff?

We never have smalls roving. They are never in the right spots. We bomb it in and the opposition spoil, one hand pass backward, no one in koo wee... and they work it out easy with no pressure.

Surely we can teach and coach these guys where they need to be
