Is Phillips a must?
Seeing Greenwood as emergency has me worried about his future JS. For his price it’s also worrying

Definitely not a must.

A consideration but it would be a risky consideration. Only way he solidifies his JS is by doubling his output which would make him a super pick. But the much more likely scenario is he continues to be on the fringes with Greenwood, Wardlaw, Howe & Tucker.

Jayden Stephenson is getting a game

There's more spuds to ditch before any kids get the chop

I hate Stephenson as a player but he’s irrelevant to Phillips JS, you need outside players too. About as relevant as Jeremy Howe would be to Jack Ginnivan returning to the side.

Nah no chance they get dropped
Just think they may move 1 to a wing and give the kid in form a crack

Going bye what the GWS Kent's are saying .

Coach playing players in Thier right spots Ash played mid last year as tagger .
I thought he could be playing mid after the lost Hooper and TT ..

Only Lewis Hamilton springs to mind .

After the weir inj I thought he might of came in ..

See if he makes the cut .

What ever happened to Drury?

What ever happened to Drury?

He's playing back pocket in the VFL. He's playing well enough, but not exactly setting the world on fire.

He did have 16 disposals today in a team that was badly beaten... But the Carlton small forwards (Ronke, Cahill, Binns) also played very well.

Paddy Dow also gave Wardlaw a touch-up. Not that Wardlaw should be SC relevant at his price anyway.

Genuinely thinking about using a boost to go Chesser to Rowston. Are there any good non fwd rookies that could come through soon?

Problem is I have 3 essentially dead rookies with Constable, Chesser and loop Madden, and I feel like I might leak too much cash gen. Chesser for Van Rooyen even next week is a non starter, because it means Gulden to mids blocking both Ashcroft and Mackenzie and id have to field two of Van Rooyen, Chandler, Caminiti and Greene in forwards.

Josh Fahey ($123k DEF/MID) looks like he might be on the cusp of a debut as well, hopefully not as the sub.

Read somewhere that he got towelled up in the 2's by Dow.....not a good sign if he wants to get in the 1's...

EDIT: 14disp , 1 goal....

I'm far from an expert on the Roos' mids, but from afar it seems like nothing would be lost in the short term playing Wardlaw ahead of a few fringe players who get 2nd/3rd mid rotation roles.

Do you keep him in the twos behind a bloke like Greenwood, or play a developing junior who is also going to require some carrying and coddling like Phillips ahead of him? I'd be surprised if they don't try to get some games into him now his body is cooperating enough to get him on the park.

He’s going to play as soon as he’s fully match fit.

It’s just his 3rd game in 12 months.

Clarko said they want to get about 5 games into him.

Fitness is the only reason he’s not playing. Nothing more.
