I'll have to take your word for it. I was watching trying to balance watching, working, and most importantly, posting on here until 3:30pm.

Even so, has had same amount of possessions as Mills and Parker. They've admittedly copped some s**t, but still seems the amount Stephens cops is disproportionate by comparison.

The only thing you can compare Stephens to is to whom he has replaced, which is mcinerney. Jmac is so much better than him that even a good game from Stephens is piss poor in comparison.

Good example there, Stephens made a decent defensive effort. mcinerney would've made an even better effort and would've racked up a couple of handball receives going the other way in the same play to top it off.

McClean although undersized is our best ruckman. His willingness to compete like a ruckman from the ****ing 70’s gives this midfield a
50/50 chance of winning clearance without him putting it on their tit. Problem is takes away from the our attack. Needs to be signed as soon as this siren goes because there is not another one of him at any other club. He is a ripper this kid. Huge heart.

Rowell been next level out there to be fair far more agility than Parker.

I really don't think it's his tactics in last quarters that are causing it. It's generally out mids chasing tail and playing it safe that starts the rot.

We actually played that whole qtr with a spare in defence. So that tactic has actually won us the game more than likely

Mclean in the ruck seems to work better

Yep. I've been critical of McLean's work in the ruck previously but he's really shifted up a gear. And in the absence of a really strong tap ruck, a big bruising body seems to be as good as anything.

It makes me wonder if a setup with McLean as main ruck and a Buller or Gould up forward would be better than having Hickey in.

Better quarter. Chad finally got his kicking boots on. We stepped up the pressure that quarter.

The umpires are allowing a lot of throws. Can't believe how many times Rowell has been caught and winged but throws the ball to a Suns player. Should have had 4 more against him that quarter. They were also allowed to dive on the ball to get ball ups so they could play their scrappy game. Gulden getting involved and the Miller tag is officially dead.

Loved Will's game and Stephens has been good. Whoever takes Anderson & Flanders at centre bounces and stoppages have to tighten up still
