Might be the first time the sub isn't activated and we just keep playing with the 22 we have
I'd go Sharman but Peris makes sense coming on when everyone us tired and just running the length of the field

I bet you didnt even watch the Sandi game - Heath will be a better ruckman than TDK and potentially a better forward. TDK is an unproven 23yo and not worth big $$$ or what Carlton would want for him trade wise. We can pick up another ruckman cheaply from other means, we need to take our top draft picks to the drafts and stop trading them out. If they do trade him out, they will be doing so because he has put a ridiculous asking price on himself.

How much did you bet? I win. How many games have you seen Heath play? Will be a better ruck? That sounds like fact but it’s a guess. At least you aren’t guessing as a forward. I’m sorry but I rate TDK. This posts sounds like many we had about degoey. Of course we can get another cheaply but that will mean an ordinary player. If we decide we need another ruck then we need a player who can play elsewhere to a good standard. I’m not suggesting we give him 10 years at a million dollars. I’m suggesting we talk to his manager and then see what happens. Sometimes you pay overs and it provides dividends and sometimes it doesn’t. And if Milera goes we will most likely have another first round pick. Nothing wrong with trading a first round pick if you get a 10 year player.

Sharman looked good on the wing. Positioned himself well defensively and used it really well a couple of times entering forward 50. I’d bring him in for Wood, and replace Jimmy with Paton. Peris sub.

I think the fact you said you rate TDK says it all really. You are entitled to your opinion but you are actually speculating yourself that TDK will become a player worthy of a 1st round pick. He is not and never will be IMO.
The only reason we should trade out of the first rounds in coming years is to trade in an elite young midfielder or key position forward eg Ben King.
If you think anyone will get TDK for anything more than complete overs (1st rounder) you are not being realistic.

It will cost a first rounder to get him. That’s certain. Yes I’m speculating on a player I’ve seen play a fair few afl games. That has a little fact than a guy who doesn’t even hardly ruck in the seconds at the moment. I won’t say that says it all really. I will say it’s a complete guess. Just out interest do you think any other clubs will be interested in a guy that says it all about me? If I’m overrating him I’d expect no one will pay to much for him. Based on your reason for losing a first rounder you were obviously a no for degoey. Is that a correct statement?
That's the issue I have with TDK, the price
In all seriousness he should be worth a 2nd round pick at his age but the ridiculous hype around him is going to force his price up
I'd hate to give up a first for him. He's well behind what every other quality ruçk is at that age and he's next to useless as a forward

I think it’s hard to work out if he can play well as a forward. He is the third wheel when down there behind 2 Coleman winners. If I was a players I’d be going to them nearly every time. I remember his game against last year. He has a fantastic leap so I’d be very confident he can make it as a forward. If we are going to lose Milera and get de konning as a swap I’d say that’s good dealing.
The fact that he only averages 2 marks a game isn't a great sign you must admit.
Marshall in his first year as a ruck finished 2nd in our best and fairest averaging around 4.5 marks a game and kicking a goal every second week.
And he never really cut it as a forward when we moved him there

In his 3 games this year he’s taken just 2 marks in each, and had 11, 12 and 13 disposals.
So he doesn’t find the ball, doesn’t take marks, wouldn’t know what a goal is and is promising at best in the ruck.
Ro at the same age came 2nd in the B&F.
De Koening at this stage is basically Rhys Stanley at the time we traded him to Geelong. But for a far higher pricetag.

For mine he’s the type of guy you’d happily offer $600K PA over 4 and pay a pick 21 like we got for Stanley, but for some reason he’ll cost at least $800k for multiple years, and probably a pick around 10, and I reckon the odds of him living up to that cost are slim.
Which will put him under a lot of pressure, like it did say Hill, who was similarly overpriced, and who struggled to live up to it and wasn’t enjoying his footy, because of all the pressure and expectations.
Tom Boyd another who struggled to deal with the expectations that came with a huge contract based purely on potential.
