All these journos are stealing a living getting paid to talk like offended supportersAnyone listen to the Age realfooty podcast? Jake Niall reckons this season still doesn't justify the Ratts sacking while also saying our list is no good. Thinks the Ratts sacking tarnished the brand of the club.
Thankfully Caro put him in his place but honestly some of these paid footy "experts" are genuinely clueless.

I think he will win our B&F has a real solid work rateWell done Crouchy… according to Daniel Hoyne he has lifted himself into the top 60 of the comp in the last 6 weeks for score involvements but MORE importantly his improvement has allowed Sinclair to remain a permanent HBF where our counterattack footy is back in business again
From the 11min 28 sec mark
I think he will win our B&F has a real solid work rate
I can't deny that I am a sceptic
In saying that, I wish him well.
Keeps his head in check, and feet on the ground, he may stand a chance...time will tell.
Has been the only constant in the mids, skipper injured and off year, Seb and Jones constantly injured, and a bunch of kids, has been excellent all year.I think he will win our B&F has a real solid work rate
I worry about them breaking their contracts early, going home, and wasting time and resources. I'm also sceptical about success rates. You’re a sceptic about this kid in particular or all the Irish imports/exports?
Problem with finding good local talent is that if they turn out to be any good then you can't draft them unless you have one of the Qld/Syd academies.I worry about them breaking their contracts early, going home, and wasting time and resources. I'm also sceptical about success rates.
My opinion isn't particularly popular, but it's what I think, and I stand by it.
The percentages don't lie. The majority go home. I'd prefer club resources go towards something more proactive in local communities and other grassroots endeavors, and find a way to identify the talent under their noses that may not as yet been noticed. It's actually one thing I'll give the GAA in Ireland, they have numerous measures and ways to reach into their communities. It's a good model in that respect. I'd like AFL clubs do something in the same vein. How to do it, is something better minds than mine will have to come up with.
Like I said though, I wish this kid we've signed all the best... he's young, and a talented GAA player. I've read that he's also been out here before, it should mitigate some of my doubts mentioned above. I hope it works out for us and him.
If we end up with another Zach Tuohoy, I'll be as happy as anyone else.
Yep, absolutely agree with you there. It is 100% something that needs to be reviewed, addressed, and made right. It's a farce at the moment and far too one sided.Problem with finding good local talent is that if they turn out to be any good then you can't draft them unless you have one of the Qld/Syd academies.
The problem with investing locally is when there's a decent kid up for grabs we don't get first dibs, Windy and Owens were a fluke and we should have had access to mI worry about them breaking their contracts early, going home, and wasting time and resources. I'm also sceptical about success rates.
